Housefull 5, the fifth instalment of the popular Bollywood comedy franchise is all set for a theatrical release on June 6, 2025. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, Housefull 5 is already making headlines not for its trailer or cast, but for the claims made by them that every theatre will have a different climax.
At the trailer launch of Housefull 5, Sajid Nadiadwala revealed that every theatre will have a different killer, which means the actual killer in the film depends on where (which theatre) you are watching the film. This format ensures that each audience experiences a distinct climax. Sajid also mentioned that he thought of this idea decades ago to add a surprise element which is somewhat lost. Sajid said:
"I have been thinking about this idea for the past 30 years - how to create a thriller with an X factor that leaves the audience talking long after they leave the theatre. So I came up with a story where every theatre will have a different killer.”
To explain his idea in a better manner, he said, if you watch it at Gaiety, it’ll have one killer. If you watch it at Galaxy, there’ll be somebody else. In PVR screen number 4, you’ll see a different killer, and in PVR screen number 5, yet another one. It’s like every time you watch the film, you’ll get a different ending. This is the first time not just in India but in the world that something like this is introduced for the audience to give them a better experience.
During a conversation, actor, Fardeen Khan said that even the cast of the film was not aware of this twist. It was after they had finished the shooting that they were told about this twist. Sajid confirmed it and said, even half of the cast doesn't know who the killer is, to maintain the secrecy of the murder mystery.
Initially, when Sajid Nadiadwala announced his idea of multiple killers at the trailer launch, even though it made headlines, some people still didn’t believe it. They felt how this is possible. But it seems like the crew of Housefull 5 has made it possible. Advance booking of the film started 2 days ago and when someone tries to book the tickets on Bookmyshow, it asks you to choose between Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B. Probably the only difference between the two is their climax. This approach can make the audience curious, making them re-watch the film but in a different theatre, which will overall add to the box office collection of the film.

According to a report by Sacnilk, Housefull 5 has made a collection of Rs. 1.68 crore (as of June 3, 2025, 3:30pm) with a sale of over 51,000 tickets. Interestingly, with this, Housefull 5 has crossed the advance booking of Shahid Kapoor’s Deva and is now in the run to beat Sunny Deol’s Jaat whose advance booking was around Rs. 2.37 crore.
Housefull 5 is set on a chaotic cruise where billionaire Ranjeet celebrates his 100th birthday and announces his heir, his son 'Jolly'. But three men claim to be Jolly. When Ranjeet dies mysteriously, all three become prime suspects. Later, it becomes a scene full of confusion and madness. This film mixes comedy, mystery and chaos in classic Housefull style. The film has Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh in lead.
