But all the happiness came to a halt after Paresh Rawal, who played the iconic role of 'Baburao Apte', announced his exit a few weeks ago. It brought the film into an uncertain phase and sparked a legal tussle between Paresh and Akshay who is also supposed to produce the film. "With love, respect, and kind guidance of my brother Sajid Nadiadwala, and also Mr Ahmed Khan, the Hera Pheri family is back together. My brother, Sajid, put in a lot of personal time and effort over several days to resolve the matter. We have a bond of over 50 years. Ahmed, too, put in a lot of personal efforts."
Apart from crediting Sajid Nadiadwala and Ahmed Khan, Firoz also mentioned that Akshay, who has been a significant actor in the Hera Pheri franchise and the producer of Hera Pheri 3, also supported them in ensuring that the third instalment in the franchise is made with Paresh Rawal who is an inevitable part of it. Sharing his views on Akshay, Firoz said:
"We also have Akshay ji's support. He was very kind, loving, and affectionate in the entire process of sorting out the issues. We've shared a very good bond since 1996."
