Hrithik Roshan And Sussanne Khan Divorce: A Misunderstanding Led To Separation, Alimony In Crores

Hrithik Roshan became India's most-loved superstar overnight after the release of his film, Kaho Na Pyaar Hai in the early days of 2000. He was the hero of the then-new millennium era. While he was the heartthrob of every girl in the nation, his heart fluttered for only one girl, Sussanne Khan. 

Hrithik was instantly hailed for his chiselled look and hot dance moves that made everyone in awe in the same year. Apart from kickstarting his career as the superstar of the generation, Hrithik also got married to Sussanne in December of the same year. However, their marriage ended after fourteen years, and they finalised their divorce in 2014.

Sussanne and Hrithik's divorce came as a shock to the entire nation. The ex-couple is co-parenting their two kids, Hrehaan, born in 2006, and Hridhaan, who was born in 2009. But when they parted ways, there were a lot of murmurs doing rounds, while some stated Sussanne was cheated on as Hrithik's linkup rumours were all over the place. Others claimed that they separated due to Sussanne's affair with Arjun Rampal, as she was spotted dining in with him the next day after filing for divorce with Hrithik. However, Sussanne and Hrithik never really opened up about their divorce.

Sussanne Khan demanded Rs. 400 crore as alimony but divorce was finalised at Rs. 380 crore

After their divorce, it was reported that Sussanne had an outrageous demand of Rs. 400 crores as alimony. However, Hrithik denied the same, but it was reported that Hrithik paid her Rs. 380 crores. However, no further details about their divorce proceedings have been provided in public. 

When Rakesh Roshan revealed the first thing Hrithik Roshan did after his divorce from Sussanne Khan

In an interview with The Times of India, Hrithik Roshan's father, Rakesh Roshan, once revealed the first thing his son did right after his divorce in court. The proud father shared that just after the divorce in court, Hrithik stepped out and opened the car's door for Sussanne. He was quoted as saying:

"Yes indeed. Right after their divorce in court, Hrithik stepped out and opened the door of the car for Sussanne. That shows his character. Nobody can teach you these things. It comes from within. He regards women and everyone else with respect. Like he touches my feet. And so do my grandchildren Hridaan and Hrehaan. You do these things instinctively."

Hrithik and Sussanne ended up divorcing each other due to a misunderstanding

Rakesh Roshan revealed in an interview with Yuvaa that Sussanne and Hrithik parted ways due to a misunderstanding. He added that the couple was one in love but had a misunderstanding which they were unable to solve. However, she has a similar bond with the entire Roshan family. He said:

"Whatever has happened has happened between the couple, for me Sussanne is Sussanne. They were the ones who fell in love, they were the ones who had a misunderstanding, and they have to solve it. For us, she came to our house, and she is still a member of the house."
