Hrithik Roshan Takes A Dig At Failure Of His Film, 'War 2' At Dubai Event, 'My Film Just Bombed...'

Hrithik Roshan is one of the most versatile and celebrated actors in the Bollywood industry. Over his long career, he has given several hit films, but also a few flops. The powerful actor appeared in the film, War 2, alongside Jr NTR, which turned out to be a flop at the box office. Well, now Hrithik has finally addressed it during an event.

Recently, the star actor, Hrithik Roshan flew to Dubai to attend an event. Videos from the same event are going viral. In the viral clips, Hrithik Roshan can be seen looking charming as ever in a black tuxedo. In one video that is going viral, the Krrish actor made his fans go gaga, by dancing on the song, Ek Pal Ka Jeena, which is from his debut film, Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai. 

Apart from this, another video is going viral, in which the hosts are welcoming Hrithik Roshan on stage. To welcome, they say, "Oh what a moment this is guys. Big round of applause for the superstar himself over here." Hearing this, Hrithik thanked his fans for showing him love and also took a dig at his recent flop film, War 2. He was quoted as saying:

"That’s really kind of you. My film just bombed at the box office. So it feels really good to get all the love. Thank you."

Netizens react to the viral video of Hrithik Roshan

As soon as the videos went viral, one of them was shared on the social media platform, Reddit and fans couldn’t stop reacting to it. While some users came in support of Hrithik Roshan and called him a ‘secure’ actor, others called him ‘insensitive’. One user commented, "Okay this was funny. I'm glad he frankly admitted it also. Now at least know he's aware not to do such crap, no matter who it is." Another user wrote, "Seems like a secure guy." A third user penned, "He can't win if he said something good about War 2 then people will troll him for the film flopping and now he is laughing with everyone so people are calling him insensitive."

For the unversed, War 2 is the sequel of the 2019 spy film, War. The 2025 film was directed by Ayan Mukerji and made by Yash Raj Films. The film brought back Hrithik Roshan as 'Kabir' and also introduced the South superstar, Jr NTR as 'Major Vikram'. Apart from them, the film featured Kiara Advani in an important role. 

For those who don't know, the film, War 2 was made on a big budget. If reports are to be believed, the film's budget was almost Rs. 400 crores, because of its VFX, international location, action scenes and cast salaries. However, the film failed to meet the expectations of the audience and faced a loss at the box office. Reportedly, the film earned Rs. 365 crores worldwide.
