Odia Singer, Humane Sagar Passes Away At 34, His Wife, Shriya Gave Health Update Hours Before Death

Popular Odia singer, Humane Sagar has tragically passed away at just 34 years old, leaving a deep void in the Ollywood industry. For those who don't know, Humane Sagar was well known for singing songs like Camera On, Ishq Hua, Maa Toh Bina, Sindura, Bin Bala and more. With his powerful voice and heartfelt melodies, he had managed to win a lot of hearts, and his unexpected passing has broken those millions of hearts. 

While he achieved a lot in his professional life, his personal life was nothing less than a rollercoaster ride. Even though, he rose to fame quickly after winning a major singing competition, his life was full of personal heartbreaks and emotional family struggles. For the unversed, the singer also went through a broken marriage. Read on to know more about him. 

Humane Sagar’s early life

Humane Sagar was born on November 25, 1990, in Titilagarh, Bolangir. For the unversed, he was born in a musically rich family, as his grandfather and father were both music directors. This environment shaped his early interest in music. Slowly and gradually, he participated in local and state-level singing competitions and won many of them. Later, he enrolled in MBBS, but soon dropped out to follow his passion. 

Humane Sagar’s bright career in music

Even though, the Odia singer, Humane Sagar was always into music and had won multiple competitions, he first made headlines, when he won Voice of Odisha Season 2. This win changed his life, as it opened multiple doors for him in the Ollywood music industry. After winning the show in 2012, he made his playback debut in 2015, with the film, Ishq Tu Hi Tu. 

It is worth mentioning that Humane was trained under the music composer, Abhijit Majumdar. Over the years, Humane sang more than 150 songs, some of which include Sunn Zara, Tum Mo Love Story, Sehzadi O Sehzadi, Pyar Bala Hichki and more. The singer became the leading voice of Ollywood actors like Anubhav Mohanty, Babushan Mohanty, Sabyasachi Mishra and Arindam Roy.

Humane Sagar was married to Shriya Mishra

According to a report by Money Control, Humane Sagar met Shriya Mishra on the reality show, Voice of Odisha Season 2 and in 2017, the two got married. The couple even had a daughter together. However, there is no detail available regarding her. Years later, in January 2023, Humane and Shriya made headlines, when their marriage hit the rock. 

Around 2023, Shriya publicly made serious allegations against Humane, including claims of domestic violence, attempted dowry demands and other accusations. According to a report by The Indian Express, Humane had even forced Shriya to change her religion. However, around the same time, the Odia singer dismissed all accusations. However, the couple went through counselling and they have reportedly resolved all issues. 

Humane Sagar died at the mere age of 34

Popular Odia singer, Humane Sagar was rushed to AIIMS Bhubaneswar on November 14, 2025, after his health suddenly worsened. Reportedly, he was admitted to the ICU for extra care. Doctors had put him on advanced life support, including a ventilator and strong medicines. After being admitted for three days, the singer passed on November 17, 2025. Doctors later confirmed he was battling multi-organ dysfunction, acute-on-chronic liver failure, bilateral pneumonia, and severe cardiac complications.

Shriya Mishra shared Humane Sagar’s health update hours before his death

For the unversed, a few hours before the singer’s death, his wife, Shriya Mishra had spoken to the media standing outside the hospital and shared an update on Humane’s health. She had revealed that the singer recovered a bit in the first 48 hours, however, there was no major update in the past 24 hours. She had shared:

"Just half an hour ago, we had consulted the doctor. The doctor told us that in the past 72 hours, he had recovered 10% in the first 48 hours. Now, in the last 24 hours, no visible recovery is there, so doctors are trying and putting in their best efforts. Doctors are giving advanced treatment, be it medicines or injections. They are preparing the best possible things for his recovery. He has been kept in a good atmosphere over here. Right now, all things rest on God. Now, we can't see any scope or scenario of airlifting him."
