We could not forget to mention the popular thriller K-drama, Squid Game that took the world by storm. Since its debut in 2021, this drama has become one of the most watched in the genre. The series centres on a group of people having a hard time making ends meet and end up playing a secret survival game in which they engage in a variety of kid-friendly activities to earn a sizable cash prize.
The players eventually learn that failing the games will result in losing their lives. The players must face their demons and make morally challenging decisions to survive as the game advances. The drama, Tunnel uses time travel as a plot device and is one of the best Korean thrillers. In 1986, ‘Detective Park Gwan-Ho’ (Choi Jin-Hyuk) follows a serial killer in a tunnel. In this time-travelling K-drama, the serial killer is still at large as the main character exits the tunnel and finds himself in 2017.

In this drama, the 'Oh' sisters, ‘Oh In Joo’ (Kim Go Eun), ‘Oh In Kyung’ (Nam Ji Hyun), and ‘Oh In Hye’ (Park Ji Hu), are the focus of the story, and the three of them were seen struggling with personal issues and awful financial circumstances.
