“It's very hard. I don't think mom's guilt ever really goes away. Just yesterday, I went to visit my mom. I was driving back home and my child was screaming in the back seat. I pulled over at one point, went back to him, held him for a bit, and tried to calm him down, but the minute I put him back in his car seat again, he started to scream. I had to drive with him crying in the back seat for at least 10 minutes before he went to sleep because he was so tired. I got home and I cried.”

Continuing her narration, Ileana mentioned that once she was back home, she couldn’t stop accusing herself for being a terrible parent, since she had to put her son in the backseat, causing him to wail all the time. However, she remarked that her husband, Michael patiently made her understand that everything was fine at the end. She expressed:
“I cried so much, and my husband was like, ‘listen, it's okay’. I felt like the worst parent in the world with my child crying in the back seat. But I couldn't help it. I just had to get home, because I knew the sooner I got home, the calmer he'd be. So, I feel like mom's guilt really doesn't go away.”
Well, being a working mother is quite difficult, and Ileana too, faces the perils of leaving behind her son, Koa, when she heads out for work. However, the actress revealed that she is able to take the bold step, since her husband, Michael Dolan remains with their boy, and she believes that her bundle of joy is in the best hands then.

“Married life is going beautifully. It’s really hard to say what I love about him the most. I'll have to really think, because I feel like every time I come up with an answer, there's something else that you know trumps that the next day. He's seen me through my worst times, my absolute worst times. He has seen me through some of my best times as well. He's just been constant from day one. He's just this consistent support, and he knows me inside out. I don’t know of anyone else who has understood me the way he does. He knows immediately when I am upset. It’s amazing how he will do everything to make me smile. I am getting a little emotional because he just wants to make me happy, and it’s rare.”
