Imran Khan made everyone's heart flutter when he was first seen on the silver screen in the superhit film, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. The film won hearts as it beautifully depicted best friends falling head-over-heels-in-love with each other. However, after leaving a mark on the film industry, Imran disappeared from the scenes. After struggling with his personal life and parting ways with his wife, Avantika Malik, Imran Khan's best friend, Akshay Oberoi confirmed that he had left acting. But looks like the actor is all set to make a comeback on his fans' demand.
On August 10, 2023, Imran took to his Instagram handle and posted a screenshot of his message on Thread. In the screenshot, Imran confirmed making a comeback and revealed that he is working on it. His Thread message can be read as "To whom it may concern, I hear you, and I'm working on it. Thank you for being so patient with me." We also read a comment, wherein a fan asked him for his film, Luck 2. Alongside it, he wrote:
"I guess that's what I get for posting on Threads."

On August 1, 2023, when Zeenat Aman shared a video of her advertisement, a user commented on her post and asked that everyone was making a comeback and asked for Imran Khan to make a comeback as well. She wrote, "Zeenat ji ne bhi comeback karlia, patani mera @imrankhan kab karega." However, to everyone's surprise, the actor actually replied to the comment of a netizen and promised a comeback if his reply got 1 million likes. His comment could be read as:
"Chalo Aditi, let's leave this to the internet...1M likes, and I'll make it happen."
In an earlier interview with NDTV, Imran Khan had revealed that he struggles to balance his professional and personal life. He called it difficult to maintain his public person of stardom. He wanted a life of his own and enjoy his family time as a normal person. He added that his personal life is really important to him. He wrote:
"Mere liye mushkil ye rehte hai ki meri jo public persona hai, usse jo stardom ki image aati hai, usse thoda waqt nikal kar, I need a life of my own. Sabse pehle main ek aadmi hoon, ek insaan hoon, meri ek biwi hai, ek beti hai, meri maa, mere dost hain. Aur ye jo personal side hai, jo personal life hai, ye mere liye sabse important hai."
