Imran Khan and Avantika Malik were once the most loved couple. The actor became an overnight star after the release of his film, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na. Girls would go gaga on him, but Imran clearly stated he was in the industry to work and not for hookups, as he was seeing his childhood sweetheart, Avantika Malik. The ex-couple got married in 2011 but parted ways after eight years of being together. Now, Avantika, for the first time, talked about the traumatic times.
Avantika took to her Instagram handle and reposted a picture post by Rainbow Salt. Alongside it, Avantika penned out her heart and revealed how she met her two friends after almost five years. She revealed that they had last seen her in 2019, the year when she separated from Imran.
Avantika revealed that she was broken and unravelled during that time. She shared that her friends were happy to see the new version of herself, and how she was really 'living' her life. Avantika wrote:
"I met 2 friends after a loooonnnggg time (4-5yrs) this week. The last time they saw me in the flesh was 2019, the year I broke and unraveled... And then they saw me now. And they both had the same things to say... That they finally see me be authentic, the real me. And the joy they see that brings to my eyes, a glow to my face:...and I knew they were telling me the truth. But the best thing they said to me was that I was "living"."
Avantika further added that she always tries to find hope in the bleakest moments that she has faced in her lifetime. Describing it further, Avantika wrote:
"It got me thinking on how I got here and I know it's because somehow shockingly I always chose hope. In the darkest, bleakest moments (and there were a few) to be able to remind myself that if all I do is work on putting out the love that is within me then the universe will generously reflect that back to me. What is within is without."
Divorce is not at all easy for both the persons involved and even the kids. Just like Avantika, Imran also had the roughest phase. In fact, he had lost a lot of weight, and his photos went viral on the internet, leaving fans concerned. During an interview with Humans Of Bombay, Imran revealed that there were days when he would not be able to get out of bed. In 2019, he was at his weakest emotionally and physically.

Imran further described that even brushing his teeth and taking a shower was a monumental task for him. There were days when he would not even get out of bed and would stay in pyjamas with a locked door.
