The late Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi, was one such woman in the nation's political history, who is still remembered for her works. She was also loved for her stunning personality. Besides her professional front, India was a complete family woman. And it was only because of the strong support she got from her family that she could stand like a rock and face everything like a pro. However, amongst all, the bonding she had with her grandchildren, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi was something worth mentioning. But as destiny had planned, Rahul was barely 14 and Priyanka 12 when they unfortunately lost their grandmother.
Now, we stumbled upon an unseen video featuring Indira Gandhi along with her grandkids, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi, which is simply unmissable. The video was shared by an Instagram handle titled 'History of Congress'. In the video, Indira can be seen coming out of a room with her son, Rajiv Gandhi and his wife, Sonia Gandhi and their kids. The loving grandmother was seen holding Priyanka's hand tightly while the little ones were busy talking with her. While Rahul donned a cream-hued kurta set, Priyanka looked cute in a printed lehenga choli. On the other hand, Indira looked graceful in a saree.

Following this, Indira was also seen seated on a low-height table-chair set along with Priyanka and Rahul, reportedly set for the kids' studies purpose. However, the three of them were seen chit-chatting, and the doting grandmother also patiently listened to everything Rahul and Priyanka had to discuss with her. This indeed shed pure family goals and made us remember our grandmothers for sure.

The same video also featured many other candid moments of Indira from her daily life. She was being candidly captured inside her private residence. In the glimpses, Indira can be seen keeping herself immersed in work. Besides this, she was also seen walking in the morning, caressing the pet animals or having a family meal time with her sons, Rajiv Gandhi and Sanjay Gandhi.

Indira Gandhi left for the heavenly abode after being shot by her own bodyguards on October 31, 1984. And to mark her 35th death anniversary, her grandchildren, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra took to their social media handles and penned some memorable notes for her. Rahul took to his X (formerly known as Twitter) handle and shared a picture of Indira. Along with it, he wrote, “My tributes to my grandmother & former PM, Smt Indira Gandhi Ji on the anniversary of her martyrdom.” On the other hand, Priyanka dropped a meaningful shloka, which her grandmother used to recite for her and her brother, Rahul. Earlier, a News18 report talked about the last-minute whereabouts of Indira Gandhi before her assassination. As per the report, on the morning of October 31, 1984, Indira gave goodbye kisses to her grandchildren, Rahul and Priyanka before they left for school. However, Priyanka noticed that her grandmother held her longer than usual. Indira then went towards Rahul and caressed him. The report further claimed that the grandmother used to talk to the little one about subjects that she often avoided discussing with her son, Rajiv or daughter-in-law, Sonia. And after the much-talked-about 'Operation Blue Star', Indira feared for her life, she and her granddaughter, Priyanka spent an evening together and watched Jane Austen’s, Pride and Prejudice on TV.
