Indira Krishnan is a popular television and film actress, who is known for her remarkable performances in popular TV shows like Manzilein Apani Apani, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, and Yeh Hai Chahatein. After getting love from TV, she is all set to appear on the big screen in one of the most awaited mythological films, Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari. Amid all the buzz that the first glimpse received, Indira spoke about her experience working with Ranbir Kapoor.

Indira Krishnan, who plays the role of 'Kausalya' (Lord Ram's mother) in Nitesh Tiwari's upcoming mythological film, Ramayana, recently opened up about her experience on the film's sets. The popular television actress shared that she initially felt nervous while going on the set of such a big-budget film. However, her fear quickly faded away when Ranbir Kapoor greeted her warmly and made her feel comfortable. She also revealed that she had worked with Ranbir previously in Animal and he only recommended her name for the role in Ramayana. Indira also appreciated Ranbir's grounded nature, professionalism and respectful behaviour towards every single person on the set. In her words: 

"When I first went to the Ramayana set, I thought people would look down upon me because I'm a TV actor. But I was very shocked! Ranbir Kapoor approached me and said, Hi Indira. He is a very grounded person and never shows any starry attitude on the set. From spot boys to his co-stars, he behaves politely with everyone. I have learnt one thing from Ranbir: Give respect, take respect."

Indira Krishnan shares her past experience with arrogant actors

Indira Krishnan candidly spoke about her long career in the television industry and shared her struggles with arrogant actors on the set in the past. She revealed that she had often been stuck in situations when her co-actors, both male and female showed unprofessionalism by arriving late to and set and showed no respect to the crew. She recalled waiting for hours for her co-stars to arrive on set. While sharing this, she mentioned that her experience on the sets of Ramayana was completely different. She appreciated Ranbir Kapoor for his humility and dedication and said that she learnt the value of "give respect, take respect" from Ranbir. She shared: 

"I have worked in television for many years. I have witnessed many actors showing their arrogant nature on the set. I have suffered a lot. I have seen heroes and heroines coming late on the show while I would sit and wait for them. Ranbir Kapoor respects his work a lot. I learned from him that if you respect your work, people will respect you."

The film, Ramayana is directed by Nitesh Tiwari and is one of the most anticipated films in the Indian cinema. The film is about the timeless story of Lord Ram, his journey to rescue Sita from Ravana and the battle of good over bad. The film, Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor (as 'Lord Ram'), Sai Pallavi (as 'Sita'), KGF star, Yash (as 'Ravana'), Sunny Deol (as 'Hanuman') and Ravi Dubey (as 'Lakshman'). The film will reportedly have two parts. Part 1 will release on Diwali 2026 and part 2 probably in 2027.
