23-Yr-Old Influencer, Gina Lima And Ex-BF Die 3 Days Apart, His Last Note Read 'Can't Do Without..'

At a mere age of 23, Filipino influencer, Gina Lima, passed away on November 16, 2025. However, while her fans were mourning her sudden demise, the news of her ex-boyfriend, Ivan Cezar Ronquillo's death surfaced. He was also a content creator, and they passed away just a day apart, leaving many in shock with the coincidence. 

Filipino influencer, Gina Lima and her ex-boyfriend, Ivan Cezar Ronquillo, died three days apart

Gina Lima was a famous model and lifestyle content creator. She has over 4,23,000 followers on Facebook and 1,82,000 fans on Instagram. Lima was pronounced dead after she was brought to a hospital in Quezon City. It was reported that her ex-boyfriend, Ivan Cezar Ronquillo, took her to the hospital after she was unresponsive in her condo on November 17, 2025.

After some search, unauthorised substances were later found in the room where she was discovered by Ronquillo. The 23-year-old actress also sustained some nonfatal external injuries. Lima's cause of death still remains unclear, and further search is in progress. 

However, the saddest part of their story was that her ex-boyfriend, Ivan Cezar Ronquillo, was found dead after three days on November 19, 2025, in the stairway of his Quezon City apartment. He was soon rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead after being rushed to the hospital. 

The police have been investigating the cause of his death. However, speculations are rife that he took his own life. But no official details about the same have been released. A family member showed concern over the harassment Ivan had been through after his ex-girlfriend's death. 

Ivan Ronquillo was hurt after Lima's passing

Just a day before Ivan Ronquillo's death, he shared several tributes for his ex-girlfriend, Lima, on Facebook. It included emotional messages and photos of the two together. One post, when translated in Filipino, turned out to be Ivan expressing his love for Gina. It could be read as:

"I love you so much, Gina. I can never do it without you by my side."

Talking about Ivan's death, his family shared a tribute for the late creator. His father expressed how much he loved his son, but never hugged him, and he only got the chance when he was no longer with them. He expressed how painful it is for him to never able to show fatherly love to him. He said:

"I really love you. I wasn’t able to hug you. It’s too late that I only hugged you when you were already dead. I feel bad for not letting you experience that embrace."

Another relative claimed that the possibility of Ivan's death is that a large section of people judged him on social media after Gina's death, and it seriously impacted him. The relative further mentions that they hope it serves as a lesson to everyone that no one should judge anyone without knowing the whole story. As per GMa Network, the relative said:

"We are looking at the possibility that one of the causes of my nephew's death, or his passing, was due to the overwhelming number of people who judged him on social media."
