And now he is all set to move into the 'Krishna Raj' bungalow that was once the home of another Kapoor clan stalwart, Raj Kapoor and his wife. After years of renovation, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are ready to move into their forever home, which is reported to be valued at Rs. 250 crores. As the construction has now been completed, views of their six-storeyed mansion are doing rounds on social media with netizens mesmerised by the simple yet sophisticated building. The exterior of the mansion has been painted grey. However, these grey tones are well-complemented by the rows of plants that adorn the balcony. The house also features large glass window panes that give the bungalow an elegant look from the outside.

As per reports, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt will soon be moving into the house on an auspicious day along with their daughter Raha, and the actor's mother, Neetu Kapoor. During the renovations, the Kapoor family members were frequently seen outside the premises, checking in on the progress. 

The legacy behind Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's 'Krishna Raj' mansion

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's dream home isn't just their abode of love, but it also carries deep Kapoor family traditions and memories. This house first belonged to the actor's grandfather and the superstar of '50s Indian cinema, Raj Kapoor and his wife, Krishna Kapoor. The bungalow has also been named after the two and is known as the 'Krishna Raj' mansion. This home was passed down to the late Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor. Now their son and daughter-in-law, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, are going to be the new residents of the home. However, many reports interestingly say that the house has been registered under their baby daughter, Raha's name.

As the house carries an emotional connection for Ranbir and his family, the Bollywood couple has invested a lot of time and money into the completion of the 'Krishna Raj' mansion. As per an earlier Hindustan Times report, Ranbir and Alia, despite their busy schedule, have taken out the time to oversee the renovation process themselves. A source close to the portal revealed:

"After the work is done and they get a green signal, the couple will move into the place. It is the moment they have been looking forward to. The bungalow holds an emotional significance to the family, which is why everyone is so involved in the construction. Ranbir and Alia have made sure they take out time from their busy schedule and check the work status.”

Alia Bhatt's last appearance was in Vasant Bala's Jigra. Ranbir will be next seen in Ramayana, meanwhile the actress's next offering is Alpha, a YRF Spy Universe film.
