Buzz was that Kriti Kharbanda was dating actor-producer Sumanth Kumar, the nephew of Telugu actor Akkineni Nagarjuna and who was married to Telugu actress, Kreeti Reddy in the year 2004. But in a span of two years only, they both got divorced.
As per the reports, Kriti and Sumanth had been in an on and off relationship for more than four years. If sources are to be believed, in 2012, the Raaz Reboot actress even bought a house in Hyderabad so that she can spend some time with Sumanth.

When asked Kriti about her relationship with Sumanth, this is what the actress retorted:
We're the best of friends, I don't mind going for coffee or talking for hours with him.
As per the reports of a leading daily, Kriti Kharbhanda was also cosying up with Kriti Sanon's ex-boyfriend, Gaurav Arora while shooting for Raaz 4 in Romania. One interesting thing which happened that raised everyone's eyebrows was when the Raaz team was travelling from Sinaia to Sibiu which was supposed to be a long journey and Kriti Kharbanda chose to travel with Gaurav even if she had her designated car.

The closeness between the two was quite evident when Kriti Kharbanda tried all means to spend most of the time with Gaurav, hanging around on the sets, having dinner with him and accompanying him during the shots too. When asked to the producer, Mahesh Bhatt about their growing romance in real life, he laughed and said:
'I seem to always let the cat out of the bag, but I believe there are no bags, only cats.'

He also added and was quoted as saying:
'There are stories that play out on the film sets. There is one such story. We are living in the 21st century and a young man and woman are pushed together in an unforgiving place, far from home, pushed against the wall by the hardest work schedules, it's not surprising that they are drawn towards each other.'
He also concluded by saying:
'Film sets have been cradles for some great romances. We'll have to see if this one has the power to go beyond a shoot. Time will tell.'
