Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta’s daughter, Ira Khan is counting the days to start a new chapter in her life. Ira is all set to tie the knot with her fiance, Nupur Shikhare, on January 3, 2024. For the unversed, Ira and Nupur hosted an engagement ceremony in 2022, which was an intimate affair attended by their family members and loved ones. Now, their pre-wedding festivities have finally begun, and glimpses of the same are simply unmissable.
On December 26, 2023, Ira Khan took to her Instagram stories and shared a video featuring several guests seated around a huge dining table and relishing delicious Maharashtrian cuisine. Aamir Khan’s ex-wife, Kiran Rao, and their son, Azad Rao Khan were also present at the intimate affair. Kiran looked stunning as she was dressed in an off-white outfit and was seated next to her son, Azad. In the backdrop, Ira was heard saying:
“My God guys, get married to a Maharashtrian and get a Kelvan. How fun is this?”

Meanwhile, Ira posted another picture of herself posing with a friend. The soon-to-be bride looked gorgeous as ever in a red-hued saree, which she paired with a golden sequinned blouse. Keeping her look minimal, Ira opted for a bindi on her forehead and accessorised her look with golden jhumkas. She left her tresses open and flaunted her million dollar smile while posing for the lens.
Meanwhile, Little Things actress, Mithila Palkar also joined Ira Khan for the celebrations and shared some glimpses from the festivities. Mithila was dressed in a mustard yellow-hued suit and opted for minimal makeup. She shared a picture with Ira and Nupur on her IG stories and wrote, "The wedding festivities have begin!" Meanwhile, in another picture, the actress was seen posing in the center with Ira and Nupur on either side of her. Atop it, she wrote:
"Let's get you guys married!"
Earlier, we stumbled upon a glimpse of Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare’s wedding invite, which surfaced on the internet. However, it is not clear whether the card was the official invite from the couple or not. Set in a black and gold theme, the card had the initials of Ira and Nupur written in a simple yet sophisticated logo at the top. The date of their nuptials was written as January 13, 2024. The message on the card read:
“It gives us great pleasure to invite you to celebrate the marriage of our children Ira & Nupur. Please join us to bless the couple. 13th January Saturday. Love Pritam, Reena and Aamir. Blessings only.”

Back on November 3, 2023, Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare's wedding festivities began with the pre-wedding ceremony called the kelvan. For the unversed, it is an important ritual in Maharashtrian culture, wherein the bride and groom's family get together and shower blessings on the soon-to-be-married couple. For her special day, Ira dolled up in traditional Marathi attire and looked cute with Nupur.
