Ironheart is an American television miniseries created by Chinaka Hodge. The series is based on the Marvel Comics character by the same name and will mark the 14th television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Centred around 'Riri Williams' aka 'Ironheart' from Wakanda Forever, starring alongside Anthony Ramos, Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, Regan Aliyah, Manny Montana, Matthew Elam, and Anji White.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is introducing a new chapter through its upcoming series. The Ironheart is the new age in the comic-verse and will be released in two parts on the streaming platform, Disney+. The first three episodes of the series will be aired on June 24, 2025. The remaining episodes will be released the following week. The series will premiere on June 24, 2025, at 6 pm PT, 9 pm ET, and 10 pm Brazil Time in the United States. As for India and other countries, the release time might vary given the time zones. The release time on June 25, 2025, is 2 am UK Time, 3 am Central Europe Time, 6:30 am India Time, 11 am Australia Time and 1 pm New Zealand Time.
The first season of Ironheart will include a total of six episodes. Each episode will have a run of 40 to 60 minutes. While the release of the second set of episodes is scheduled for next week, the titles of the episodes have already been shared by the makers. The titles of the episodes are as follows: Take Me Home, Will the Real Natalie Please Stand Up?, We in Danger...Girl, Bad Magic, Karma's a Glitch and The Past is the Past.
The miniseries will follow the story of 'Riri Williams', an MIT student, who builds an armour inspired by 'Tony Stark'. However, her journey is not easy, as she faces challenges in the tech world and confronts a tech-based threat. The makers have put a lot of thought into the format of the show's schedule. Instead of a new episode every week, it has been split into two, with episodes 1 to 3 being released on June 24, 2025, and the remaining 4 to 6 to be dropped on July 1, 2025. This schedule gives viewers the option to watch the season in two sessions. The wait maintains the intrigue for the coming episodes while also giving the viewers a good watch. It allows the show to maintain momentum while giving audiences a quick way to catch up.
Ironheart was originally anticipated to premiere earlier, as the filming for the show had ended in November 2022. However, due to a series of Hollywood strikes in 2023, the show was delayed. These strikes impacted several MCU projects, which caused a shift in Disney+'s release schedule. Despite the delays, the show is now ready for streaming. All six episodes will be exclusive to Disney+.
