Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is one of the most popular sitcoms. The show has been leading all the headlines for the past few months for all the wrong reasons. Produced by Asit Kumarr Modi, the sitcom has been running for over a decade. However, the audience has claimed that the show has been a bit monotonous and not-much-interesting. Moreover, a recent episode of the show has hinted towards the return of one such character in the show, who once used to glue its audiences to their television screens for decades after decades. Yes! The guesses are probably right, as it is perceived that the popular character of 'Dayaben' will return to the show after a gap of a long six years. Although it's not yet known whether Disha Vakani, who used to play the role in the sitcom, will be back on the screen or whether any other new actor will ace the role.
For the unversed, 'Jethalal Champaklal Gada' and his wife, 'Daya Jethalal Gada', in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah won the hearts of their fans with their onscreen chemistry. However, a recent episode from the show featured 'Sunderlal', the brother of 'Daya' in the show, being tricked by 'Jethalal' and called to Gokuldham. He was tricked back to Gokuldham to answer 'Jethalal's questions concerning 'Daya'. However, 'Jethalal' is enraged to learn when his wife will return from Ahmedabad.

'Sunderlal' understands that the whole thing was a ruse to get him back to Gokuldham to answer 'Jethalal's query concerning his sister, 'Daya'. After seeing everyone's affection for his sister, 'Sunderlal' eventually announces when 'Daya' will return and reveals that he will make sure she returns to Mumbai during Navratri or Diwali this year. There is no denying that such an episode left the audience excited by hinting about the lead character's return to the show.
There is no official confirmation about the same right now. But earlier a report by The Free Press Journal had mentioned that the character of 'Dayaben' would return to the screen, but the popular actress, Rakhi Vijan would be playing the role, as the producer couldn't confirm anything about the comeback of the actress, Disha Vakani. Another report from Koimoi suggested that the show's makers and Disha were in close contact and discussing her return to the show, but it didn't work out, and the actress decided to quit the show for once and all.

Earlier, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been grabbing all the headlines with back-to-back negative responses from the show's most popular characters. However, Monika Bhadoriya, who used to play the role of 'Bawree' in the show, in an interview with News 18, revealed that Disha Vakani doesn't want to return to the show. Talking about the reason behind the same, she mentioned that producer, Asit Kumarr Modi must have misbehaved with her. Monika could be quoted as saying:
"He (Asit Kumarr Modi) behaves the same way with everyone. He must have misbehaved with her (Disha) too. But she never used to take it seriously. She used to let go of things. ‘Chodo koi baat nahi’, ‘jaane do’ and all."
