Isha Ambani Dedicates Award To Daughters, Praises Her Parents, 'I Was Always The First Choice'

Isha Ambani recently attended the Expressed Awards for Women Entrepreneurs event accompanied by her family, including her husband, Anand Piramal, her father, Mukesh Ambani, and her two sisters-in-law, Shloka and Radhika Ambani. The Ambani ladies looked stylish at the award show, wearing ethnic clothing. Mukesh wore a white half-sleeved shirt and dark pants. However, what truly grabbed our attention was Isha’s heartfelt speech after receiving the award for her entrepreneurial ventures.

Isha Ambani thanks her parents for raising her equally with her brothers

The 4th edition of the Express Awards for Women Entrepreneurs took place in Mumbai on April 5, 2025, celebrating trailblazing women leaders. Isha Ambani, who is actively involved with the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre, was among the prestigious awardees. In her emotional acceptance speech, 33-year-old Isha Ambani credited her success to the values instilled by her parents, Nita and Mukesh Ambani, highlighting how they never let her feel inferior to her brothers, Akash and Anant. Isha said:

“I am really lucky to have been raised by parents who truly believed that I was no different from my brothers. If at all, I felt like the only child in my family… My parents always, always, always made me feel, maybe unfairly so, but superior to my brothers. So if there was a choice between an opportunity, it would first come to me, and for that, I will forever be grateful.”

Isha also expressed heartfelt gratitude to her husband, Anand Piramal, and her in-laws for their unwavering support. She thanked her sisters-in-law, Shloka and Radhika, describing them as more like sisters than in-laws. Isha shared how both women make her feel safe and comfortable and how deeply she trusts them, so much so that she feels completely at ease leaving her twins in their care whenever she’s away. In Isha’s words:

“I was equally lucky to be married into a family where there was no uncertainty on who the boss is, and I followed these footsteps and I had the most encouraging husband.  I am triply lucky to be surrounded by a support system of sisters like Shloka and Radhika to have built the ecosystem for me, who I can will I on with my children, with just having fun, and just knowing that I have my sisters by my side wherever I go.”

Finally, Isha dedicated the award to her two girls, Aadiya and Veda, wishing that they never have to understand the distinction between girls and boys when it came to duties and responsibilities. Isha said:

“Finally, I would like to dedicate this to my two girls, Aadiya and Veda, and I hope that in their lifetime, they don’t even have a discussion of 'girls or boys', and that it is all just truly very equal. Thank you very much”
