Brothers are brother, no matter how much they fight with each other, pull each other's hair, give each other fight marks and shout like two insane people, deep down their heart, they are each other’s support and partners in crime. They can say and beat each other innumerable times, but once anyone else even dares to pinpoint, they will stand like a pillar for each other. Such is a relationship between celebrity half-brothers, Shahid Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter. (You May Also Like: Karan V Grover Spills The Beans On His Marriage Plans With Girlfriend, Poppy Jabbal)
Many a time, we have seen Shahid pulling Ishaan’s leg during interviews, and the latter giving it back in a healthy manner. And then, we also saw how offensive Shahid got on the Koffee With Karan couch when he got to know Arjun Kapoor had said that Ishaan keeps buzzing around Janhvi. To which, a furious Shahid had in the later episode replied, "I don't know how often Arjun is around Janhvi to know how much Ishaan is buzzing around her. I wonder. Because I mean, are they around each other a lot?"

On June 26, 2019, Shahid had taken to his official Instagram handle and celebrated the success of his film by sharing a video depicting the numbers. On the post, one of the social media users commented, “Sweet justification to misogyny, naice, very naice.” This comment of the user didn’t go well at all with Shahid's baby brother, Ishaan Khatter. Instantly, just like any doting and supportive brother, he lashed back at the troll and gave a kickass reply by writing, “No, actually it’s quite the opposite. It’s an appreciation post for a gem of a human being and an actor par excellence. As for your read on the film, it’s cinema. Everybody should have an opinion. I don’t agree with yours. But that’s a conversation for another day (cheekily smiling emoji) enjoy your day!” Checkout:
In fact, recently, Ishaan had taken to his official Instagram handle and shared a heartfelt open letter, expressing his happiness over Kabir Singh’s success. Ishaan had written, “As happy as can be for my big brother today who’s always been a shining example of a human being for me. Not a doubt in the world that you deserve the smashing success but it continues to baffle me how you were able to play one of the most complex, lost and damaged characters with such perfection while returning home to being the most centered, loving and responsible family man I know. Thank you for showing me what it means to be a responsible son, father, husband and brother always AND for knocking me out with your performance in and as #KabirSingh. You are (fire and a diamond emoji).” (Also Read: Arjun Kapoor Finally Debuts On Malaika Arora's Instagram, Shares A Cute Birthday Wish For Him)

In an interaction with In.com before the release of the film, Shahid had talked about Kabir Singh and he was quoted as saying, “I’ve been through phases that have been self-destructive. I’ve been through moments where I’m not happy with who I am and not caring about how I looked and how people are perceiving me. I have been in those phases. I think we all have. We have all fallen apart and tried to pick ourselves up. We all go through vulnerable moments. You know, half of Kabir Singh is a love story and the other half is the aftermath of a loss he deals with.”
Ishaan and Shahid share a very warm bond and the former respects the latter so much that he even once said, “I have no intention to make a name for myself and to separate my identity from my brother’s name. I am proud to be identified as Shahid’s brother, there is no shame in it. Creating a separate identify for myself was never my driving force and will never be. I believe if you are sincere with your work and you are good at it, then your identity will be created by default. Though it feels good if I am getting acknowledged for my work.” (Do Check: Isha Ambani And Mukesh Ambani's Unseen Picture Of Their Father-Daughter Dance Shows Off Their Bond)
In an interview with a leading daily, Ishaan had shared how much he loved playing with Shahid when he was a kid. Citing an example, the Dhadak star had quipped, “Yes, of course. His first film (Ishq Vishk) released in 2003. I was eight when he became a film star. I was fascinated by it all. So I’d run around with him on his sets. I was on his sets almost every day. I’d watch the actors, the cinematographers... Initially, I loved him and idolised him. Then I started watching his films more seriously. I started asking him questions like how he prepared for a certain role, what inspired him or how he enacted a particular role. Eventually, I was able to assist in a film (Udta Punjab), in which he was also performing. I had my own set of responsibilities as well. It was interesting as I was both objective and subjective. Shahid’s been a big influence in my life.”
Well done Ishaan, what a reply we must say! Guys, what do you have to say about Ishaan’s reply to the troll in support of his big brother, Shahid Kapoor? Do keep us posted!
