IT: Welcome to Derry is a chilling horror series on HBO Max, set as a prequel to the IT movies, directed by Andy Muschietti. The series expands the 'King of Horror' Stephen King's scary world. IT: Welcome to Derry is set in 1962, long before the Losers' Club first faced the main villain of Stephen King's IT, 'Pennywise'.

The first episode of IT: Welcome to Derry, The Pilot, was released on October 26, 2025, while the second episode reportedly aired on October 31, 2025, on the occasion of Halloween. To mention, it is back to its regular schedule, meaning it will be released on Sundays, with five more episodes still hanging in the air, which will be dropped eventually with its conclusion in December 2025.
While episode 3 is releasing today, i.e., on November 9, 2025, on HBO and Max from 9 pm ET/PT, it will be released on November 10, 2025, in many countries, including India. So, the Indian audience can watch episode 3 of IT: Welcome to Derry from Monday (November 10, 2025), 10 am onwards.
Episode 3 of IT: Welcome to Derry will take an even darker turn, intensifying the horror. From what is known, the Military of Derry will be more involved in uncovering the town's secrets behind the surprising events. As the mysteries unfold, 'Pauly', 'Dick Hallorann', and 'Major Leron Halron' will be on a mission to find a new dig site. In contrast, a tense situation will unfold in the town, sparked by 'Rose' with questions about the military's presence.

On the other hand, people will start to feel even more supernatural activities, and the sense of 'Pennywise's return could also be felt as the younger people of the town will try to find the proof of supernatural elements in the town by performing a tradition, known as Orixa. So, episode 3 promises even more twisted, darker secrets hidden in the dark city of Derry.
IT: Welcome to Derry is the prequel to the IT movies, and here, apart from the horror, several other social elements from 1960s America are shown, including racism, corruption, trauma, and more. The series mainly shows how the curse began in Derry. The first episode featured Derry in 1962, a quiet town haunted by fear and dark secrets. There remained several eerie happenings like disappearances and deaths, which caused horror, and the townspeople, and the incidents were mainly centered around the siblings 'Daryl and 'Charlotte Harlon' and their friends. 'Pennywise's presence was hinted at from the beginning.
Episode two showed how darker secrets began to unfold, with many knots still untied. The younger group began to develop rituals to understand the evil presence, while the dark influence of the evil grew more apparent in the town. The paranormal horror and human conflict ran in parallel, making the story even more striking to the audience. The buildup of tension, fear, and the hidden dark secrets on the line promise an even more gripping story of Derry, which will unfold in the upcoming episodes.

IT: Welcome to Derry reportedly had over 5.7 million views in just three days of its release. The plot was so gripping that the audience was on the edge of their seats. The story really gained momentum with the cast's strong performances. It: Welcome To Derry features Taylour Paige as ‘Charlotte Hanlon', while Jovan Adepo stars as ‘Major Leroy Hanlon'. ‘Will Hanlon’ is played by Blake Cameron James, while James Remar portrays ‘General Shaw'.
Chris Chalk plays ‘Dick Hallorann' while Stephen Rider is seen as ‘Hank Grogan'.
