Shahid Kapoor REACTS On 'Jab We Met Part 2' At IIFA 2025 Awards, He Says 'If Somebody Comes..'

Bollywood's popular ex-couple, Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan broke the cold shoulder vibes at the IIFA Awards 2025. They were seen publicly chitchatting and hugging at the iconic awards. The once-in-love couple dated back in the early 2000s, around 2004, and their relationship went on till 2007. Their hit chemistry in Imtiaz Ali's masterpiece, Jab We Met, has made everyone want a 'Geet' and an 'Aditya' in their lives. Well, the internet crashed when Shahid and Kareena chitchatted at the IIFA Awards 2025. The actor recently shared an update on whether Jab We Met 2 would take place.

There is no denying the fact that fans of Jab We Met are desperately waiting for a sequel of the film. Fans of 'Geet' and 'Aditya' are waiting to see the former pair on the big screen. Kareena and Shahid, after their breakup, did settle down with their respective partners. They had given the most career-defining performance of their life with Jab We Met. The film gave the entire generation a pretty perspective on love and romance on and off screen. Talking about Jab We Met 2, Shahid, at IIFA Awards 2025, in an interview with Filmy Singh Simran said:

"Beta mei actor hu woh director hai. Director se pucho. But ya it is a fantastic film and if somebody comes up with the story then why not? There can always be a part 2."

The actor further opened up about performing at the IIFA Awards 2025 and said that it would be great and that it would be a fantastic evening, genuinely. The awards are in Jaipur, and the festival's lineup is beautiful, knowing that it is happening in Hindustan. He also shared that IIFA Awards would be an entertaining night and he is very excited to be here, perform, participate and watch other people perform.

Shahid and Kareena had non-existent ties for years to come. They had even acted awkwardly during the Udta Punjab press conference. However, hell broke loose when Shahid and Kareena warmly hugged one another, exchanged a fun interaction and sent fans into a collective meltdown. It was not a Shahid and a Kareena moment. It was as if you were meeting your ex-partner after getting married. It was a perfect 'Geet' and 'Aditya' reunion moment. Shahid had even interacted with the press present at IIFA Awards and revealed his experience of meeting Kareena. He said:

"For us, it's nothing new...aaj stage pe mile aur hum log idhar udhar milte rehte hai but it's totally normal for us...if people felt nice, it's nice."

Interestingly, at an earlier award function Kareena ignored her ex-Shahid, and their fans were very unhappy seeing how the duo had not bonded in real life. Well, Geet and Aditya met on the IIFA 2025 Awards stage, exchanged pleasantries, and felt good talking to one another. Geet and Aditya have made a heart in the minds of all Bollywood movie buffs.
