However, what tops the list of controversies of the 22-year-old is his short marriage to his girlfriend, McKindley Richardson.

McKindley married the renowned YouTuber, Jack Doherty, in a Las Vegas wedding in November 2024. It was streamed live to his 15.3 million followers. However, one moment left everyone surprised when Doherty announced a prenup at the altar, leaving her family and everyone else in shock. The wedding went viral for all the wrong reasons, and McKindley Richardson opened up about the separation and how humiliated she and her family were after her ex-husband's careless act.
McKindley revealed the reason for divorcing Jack Doherty within months of an impulsive Vegas wedding
McKindley, in a podcast with Camilla Araujo, revealed the reason for her separation. She shared that the wedding vow by Jack Doherty, which went viral, deeply affected her and her family. She revealed that Jack wrote the vows in front of her father, and made him stand up on the stage and read out the 'disgusting' vows. She said:
"The vows that he wrote in front of my dad, he made my dad stand up centre stage and he read out these disgusting vows. Just fully disrespecting him, it was embarrassing, we were humiliated."
It was an act of disrespect, embarrassing and humiliating. She further mentioned that her father actually cried that day after the married couple left the venue. Sharing her father's remark, she stated that he was humiliated and felt horrible. McKinley further revealed that she had no idea Jack Doherty was planning to say such harsh words as 'vows'. He disrespected her. Not only this, when the wedding was over and they said goodbye, he took the camera and said, 'Thank God they are gone', which left her even more hurt. She was quoted as saying:
"It wasn't some sweet vow, it was very disrespectful. We finished up the wedding, we say goodbye, and he says on camera, "thank God that they are gone". They are the sweetest people ever, like that killed me.'
It is worth mentioning that Jack Doherty and McKinley Richardson's marriage wasn't a legal one, as it was an impulsive Vegas affair. But it left her with real emotional damage, which she is still trying to combat.

Jack Doherty's hurtful and mean wedding vow, which ended his relationship with McKinley Richardson
During the Vegas wedding, which was livestreamed on their platform, Jack Doherty, during the wedding vows, stated that McKinley won't get anything when he divorces her, even if he cheats. However, if she cheated on him, she would owe him USD 10 million. He added that he would also receive 100 percent of her OF revenue moving forward, even if they get divorced. He said:
"So, shawty gets absolutely nothing when I divorce her, even if I cheat,” Doherty said. “If she cheats, she automatically owes me $10 million. I’ll also receive 100 percent of her OF revenue moving forward, even if we divorce."
Jack also made a snarky remark that his wife would not date or talk to any other guys if they got divorced for a period lasting 250 years, and that she would still have to cook, clean and do his laundry. However, soon the 22-year-old's mean wedding vow went viral, and people were left confused if he was pulling a prank or if it was a serious prenup.

After the separation, McKinley revealed that when they first started dating, Jack Joherty was 'amazing'. She stated that earlier he was respectful, protective and treated her well, but he changed over time and wasn't the same person she fell in love with. The two started dating in 2023, and she became an important part of Jack's YouTube content.
No matter what, McKinley decided to part ways within months, in May 2025. After all, no woman would like to be treated in such a way on the wedding day.
