During his appearance on Karan Johar’s popular talk show, Koffee With Karan, Jackie Shroff opened up about many unknown anecdotes of his life. When Jackie was asked which actors could play leads in the remakes of his films, apart from his son, Tiger Shroff, the actor revealed Ranbir Kapoor could headline the film, Real Hero. Jackie was further asked who could star in the remake of Devdas, and he said:
“Ranbir, hamesha dil toot te rehta hai bechare ka. He’s such a darling.”

Jackie Shroff’s response left Karan Johar and Tiger Shroff in splits. The filmmaker tried to defend Ranbir, mentioning that the latter might also have broken many hearts, and said, “Voh shayad dil todta bhi hoga.” To this, Jackie responded:
“Nahi, toot ta hai bachche ka dil.”

Talking about Ranbir's Casanova image, Rishi said that his son was successful and that any girl would like to date him. Talking about Ranbir’s love life, Rishi said that in the age of finding a soulmate, his son was busy seeing everyone. He addressed the girls in Ranbir's life as A, B, C, and D and shared that none of the ladies knew that Ranbir was cheating on them. He added:
“This is the age to find a soul mate. (Laughs) He’s seeing everyone because I keep seeing A B C and D in the house. But I don’t think that A knows about B and C knows about D. The staff knows and I know. I’m still the boss of the house. The news reaches my ears.”
