Janhvi Kapoor has created a name for herself in the film industry like no other. The diva, who debuted in 2018 with the film, Dhadak has seen some of the most glorious successes in her career. Daughter of filmmaker, Boney Kapoor and late superstar, Sridevi, Janhvi is also recognised for her tasteful fashion choices and gorgeous beauty, which has made her strive no less than a sensation for her audiences. Currently, she is busy with the promotions of her upcoming film, Mr & Mrs Mahi, co-starring Rajkummar Rao.
Well, Janhvi’s upcoming film, Mr & Mrs Mahi has a huge connection with cricket, and in a recent interaction on a promotional event of the film, the diva mentioned how she wasn’t a fan of cricket initially. Talking about the same, she mentioned how she always identified the sport as something which took away her father from her. Explaining a bit more, Janhvi recalled how her father, Boney Kapoor used to prefer watching cricket rather than spending time with her. She narrated:
“I knew very little about the sport. For me, it was something that would take my father's time away from me. When he used to return home from work, he always used to sit in front of the TV to watch cricket. He used to not answer me as he used to be glued to the TV. As a kid, main bahot chidd jaati thi. I used to feel that cricket is the reason dad did not give me attention. That was my only relationship with the sport.”

Off lately, Janhvi Kapoor opened up the doors of her mother, Sridevi’s Chennai home for everyone, as she listed it as an ‘Icon’ property under Airbnb. During a promotional event for the same, she reminisced an anecdote from her childhood, when the four of them used to go for long family trips. Recalling those days, Janhvi mentioned how her dad, Boney Kapoor used to plan a hectic itinerary for them, which left her mother, Sridevi quite anxious to keep up.
Earlier, in an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Janhvi Kapoor addressed how she tends to receive a lot of appreciation from her father, Boney Kapoor, to the extent that he can praise her for every little thing that she does. Joking how if she would burp, her father would even praise her for that, Janhvi said:
“I am his daughter. He will think that even if I burp he'll be like 'Wah beta! Kya dakaar maara hai'. He also came from the place of saying his two bits about 'you've misunderstood my daughter, she works hard' and that was his way of doing it.”

Previously, in an interaction with ABP Live, Boney Kapoor discussed his habit of speaking too much about the personal lives of the other members of his family, especially when it comes to his children. He remarked how all his four children have scolded him for the same, for which she apologised to them duly.
