The audition for the much-loved American reality TV talent show, America's Got Talent, has been going on. For the unversed, this is one of the most loved reality shows, which is joined by people all over the world, be it from any background, including dance, song, magic or more, who show their talents in front of the judges, and then move forward to the live show, from where the winner gets selected. Recently, judge Howie Mandel pressed his final golden buzzer for an Indian dance crew, UnReal, who performed on the song, Bairi Piya from Devdas, setting fire on the stage.
The dance form they performed looked incredibly realistic, and it was an amalgamation of technicality and animated moves. And the way they have shown the skills on the stage so swiftly that it was next to impossible not to scream 'OMG' with every second of their performance for the audience, judges and even for us. So, let's introduce you to the dance crew, UnReal.
The dance crew, UnReal, is from Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. The exact date of this group's formation isn't known, but based on some information, it's speculated that around 2019, UnReal was formed. Their breakthrough came as they won the title of Dance Indian Dance 7, a dance reality show, which was judged by Kareena Kapoor Khan, Bosco Martis, and Raftaar. The crew took home the winner's prize along with Rs. 5 lakh. They were a part of the 'North Ka Nawabs' team and were mentored by choreographer Bhawna Khanduja.
Known for their amazing dance skills, the group UnReal currently has 263K followers on Instagram. They also have a well-known YouTube channel, which holds nearly 13.9K subscribers for the dance crew. Well, many might have known, but this is not the first time that UnReal was on AGT. Yes! They also auditioned back in 2022 for season 17, which they couldn't crack.
But this time, the group's hard work paid off, and they got direct entry to the live show through the golden buzzer. Back then, the group left the judges in awe as well, but unfortunately, they were not selected. As they came back to audition for season 20, they did what they had dreamt of doing. Sharing an old clip from 2022, the crew wrote a note about their journey on IG, which could be read as:
"Back to the stage where dreams first dared, Where rhythm spoke louder than words ever shared. We never learned to bow to defeat, It’s failure that taught us rise, repeat. Once again, we carry the flame, For passion, for pride, for India’s name. Grateful for the road, the fall, the climb, This moment is ours, one more time."

Jaipur's dance group, UnReal, consists of six members, including Wasim Belim, Aditya Malviya, Altaf Madawat, Dinesh Panwar, Gautam Changra, Vivek, and Sanjay. Wasim and Altaf are the founders and the choreographers of the group. During AGT season 20, one group member shared that they initially found it very difficult, as some members lacked support from their parents or anyone else. A few of their parents wanted them to do higher studies and become medical professionals. However, their passion for dance led them to the biggest reality show, AGT, and they even got a direct entry with a golden buzzer.
The UnReal dance group has won hearts with their 'unreal' moves. Their body flexibility and swift movements are enough to reveal their dedication to dance and hardships. One thing is assured that dance is not only their passion, but it is something that runs through their nerves. People have been left in awe and simply stunned by their dance form, while the brutally honest judge, Simon Cowell, remained 'speechless'.
For the unversed, the members of the UnReal showcase their skills through Tuttmation, a dance form that blends tutting and animation. Tutting is a dance form that creates geometric shapes through body movements, while animation mimics robotic motion. So, Tuttmation is a dance form that blends both and creates an illusion to the viewers with soft yet strong movements over rhythm.
UnReal simply turned their dream into reality, while keeping the audience and the judges floating through illusion with their dance moves. In a word, it looked unreal.
