However, recently, netizens slammed Janhvi and Vishal Jethwa for disrespecting their co-star of Homebound, Ishan Khatter, while the latter was giving an interview at the prestigious red carpet event. However, now, the actress has again landed in controversy after her 'accidental like' to a reel that claimed that Madhuri Dixit won an award for a vulgar item number, Dhak Dhak Karne Laga. At the same time, her mother, Sridevi, was ignored for her role in Khuda Gawah.

For the unversed, the actress has liked a reel which claimed that veteran actress, Madhuri won the Filmfare Best Actress Award for her performance in a vulgar item song, Dhak Dhak Karne Laga from Beta, while late actress, Sridevi was ignored as a best actress for the magnificent role in Khuda Gawah, where she played a dual role. Janhvi's likes doesn’t go unnoticed, and presently, a screenshot of her like from her official Instagram is going viral on Reddit and has also sparked online debate.

Earlier this month, cricketer, Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress, Tamannah Bhatia had landed in a similar kind of trouble. Both the celebrities claimed that it was due to some algorithm issue and just an 'accidental like'. For the uninitiated, Virat had accidentally liked a bold picture of TV actress, Avneet Kaur, while Tamannah had liked a reel that featured Deepika Padukone and highlighted issues like misogyny, gender pay gap, and unprofessional work culture.

Now, it seems like Bollywood actress, Janhvi has also landed in an online chatter, just like the former two. Soon after the screenshot of Janhvi’s like went viral on Reddit, netizens rushed to share their views. Shedding light on Virat and Tamannah’s explanation, one Reddit user wrote, "Even she will come up with the algorithm story now." Another Reddit user commented, "Wait for her to join the Kohli-Tamannaah gang of accidental like posts." Another user sarcastically commented, "Another victim of the algorithm pandemic… hoping Instagram comes with a vaccine soon."

Janhvi’s accidental liking also sparked debate among Madhuri’s fans and Sridevi’s fans, while some gave mixed reactions. A Sridevi fan wrote, "This is not the first time Sridevi was ignored! She has given many powerful award winning performances!!", while a Madhuri fan wrote, "Yes, Madhuri’s Beta was a hit, and she performed brilliantly. But acting-wise too, she earned that award. It wasn’t just a dance number." Giving a mixed reaction, a user commented, "Madhuri was great in Beta still watch it today and love it. Overall Sri is a better actress but Madhuri deserved this."
