Janhvi Kapoor's Old Hindi Teacher Calls Trolls 'Immature' For Targeting Her Language, 'Took My...'

Star kids are often criticised for their unimpressive spoken Hindi, and Janhvi Kapoor has been no stranger to this wrath. Sridevi and Boney Kapoor tried their best to help their daughter with the language and diction before her debut. And while, the audience believes that the actress has still not understood the language, her teacher thinks that it is 'immature' of the trolls to come after Janhvi for her language.

Janhvi Kapoor's hindi teacher bashes trolls for targeting the actress for her language

Sridevi and Boney Kapoor did everything in their power to help their daughter, Janhvi Kapoor with her Hindi. They also enlisted a special teacher to train her, but that did not save the actress from being the centre of the trolling. However, now her teacher has come forward to defend her, and it is none other than, actor, Om Puri's ex-wife, Seema Kapoor. 

Seema Kapoor sat for an interview with Galatta India, where she recalled being appointed to teach Janhvi Kapoor. The writer revealed that she is extremely happy to see how far the actress has home in her career. Seema called her a hard-working person and added that it was Rumi Jaffery who had recommended her to Sridevi and Boney Kapoor. She was quoted as saying:

"I feel very happy seeing how far Janhvi has come. I played only a very small role in her career. She’s a hard-working and sincere girl. Rumi Jaffrey is like my brother; he's a very well known writer in the industry. He recommended my name to Boney Kapoor and Sridevi, because my Hindi is quite refined."

In the same conversation, Seema Kapoor revealed that she had advised Janhvi Kapoor to write more, as it would help her become more expressive. Seema also addressed the trolling Janhvi had faced in her career due to her lack of Hindi-speaking skills, calling the trolls immature and childish. She cited how people have survived before the existence of spoken languages and emphasised that it is merely a means of expression. She stated:

"I think it’s childish and immature to target someone over their language. It's not like I can speak French or German. Language is a form of expression; before language, we used to communicate through hand gestures, and we survived, didn't we?"

Seema Kapoor revealed she didn't charge Sridevi and Boney Kapoor for teaching Janhvi Kapoor

In the same conversation, Seema Kapoor revealed that Sridevi and Boney Kapoor had asked her how much she would charge as a fee for teaching Janhvi. However, she refused to accept any payment as she was not a professional teacher. Seema further shared that teaching Janhvi took her mind off of things in her own life. She was quoted as saying:

"Sri ji and Boney ji asked how much I'd charge as fees, and I said, 'Ghar ke bachche…' And it's not like I’m a professional teacher. I was going through a difficult period in my own life back then, and this took my mind off my troubles."
