As per Times Now, in a recent interview, Janhvi Kapoor shared that while working in the Telugu film industry, she came closer to her roots. Talking more about the same, Janhvi revealed that her Telugu debut movie, along with Jr NTR, is uniquely connected with her late mom, Sridevi. Sharing how it feels like life has come full circle, Janhvi added that her mom, Sridevi, made her Telugu debut with Jr NTR's grandfather, NT Rama Rao. Janhvi added now that she's making her debut in the Telugu film industry with NT Rama Rao's grandson, Jr NTR, it's indeed a special and unique connection.

In a recent interview with The Week, Janhvi Kapoor opened up about her biggest regrets while marking her debut in the Telugu film industry. The actress shared that she never learned Telugu, which is what she is ashamed of. The actress further mentioned that she understands Telugu phonetically, but she cannot speak it, which is her biggest regret. Sharing how the Devara team helped her with the same, Janhvi stated:
"I never learned Telugu and it is something I am ashamed of. I can understand it phonetically, but I can’t speak it. Yes, it is one of my biggest regrets. This part of me had been dormant for a while. But the Devara team is very patient and helpful. They are working with such stalwarts and I am so grateful they are just a call away to help me with my lines.”
It was in 2018 when Janhvi Kapoor made her acting debut, and tragically, in the same year, her mom, Sridevi passed away even before her film was released. However, not many know that Sridevi actually watched Janhvi's debut film, Dhadak. In an interview with The Times Of India, Boney Kapoor once revealed that Sridevi watched the rushes of the film.
Yet, in another interview with Galatta Plus, Janhvi Kapoor once shared that her mom, Sridevi, watched her giving her first shot. The actress mentioned that on the first day of the shooting of Dhadak, she was extremely tensed about Sridevi's opinion of her. Janhvi mentioned that her mom knew the same, which was why she hid behind a tree and watched the actress giving her first-ever shot. Janhvi also mentioned that she later came to know from one of her mom's friends that the late actress said she was proud of her daughter.

For the unversed, Janhvi Kapoor is speculated to be dating Shikhar Pahariya for a long time now. As per several reports, the duo was together even before Janhvi made her debut. However, things didn't go well with them, and they broke up only to reconcile after a few years. Cut to now, Janhvi and Shikhar's cutesy IG exchanges, their appearances at several divine places, often grab the eyeballs, and they never accepted or denied being in a relationship.
