Janhvi Kapoor is one of the most loved star kids in Bollywood. For the unversed, Janhvi is the elder daughter of filmmaker, Boney Kapoor and the late actress, Sridevi. Moreover, Janhvi has already carved a niche for herself in the Hindi film industry. The diva started her acting career with the movie, Dhadak in 2018. And in a shocking turn of events, her first film got released after few months after her mom's demise. Undoubtedly, it left a big hole in her heart. However, in a recent interview, Janhvi opened up about her mom and revealed that Sridevi was there with her on her first day on the set. The actress also revealed what was her mom's reaction after secretly watching her giving her first shot.
In an interview with Galatta Plus, Janhvi Kapoor walked down memory lane and recalled the first day of her on the set of her debut film, Dhadak. The diva shared that she was really nervous as her mom, Sridevi was there with her during her first shot. The actress mentioned that she was nervous about her mom's opinion of her. And as she was nervous, Sridevi hid behind a tree with Manish Malhotra and watched Janhvi working. Janhvi shared that Sridevi told her she wasn't there, but she found out about it later. Speaking along the same line, Janhvi stated:
"She was there for my first shot. I think I was the most nervous about her being around so she hid behind a tree with Manish (Malhotra) to see my first shot. She told me she wasn’t there but I found out later that she was. I was very nervous about her opinion."

In the same interview, Janhvi Kapoor revealed that she recently got to know what her mom, Sridevi thought of her first shot. The actress stated that it means to her so much to get external validation. However, talking about her mom's reaction to her first shot, Janhvi mentioned that one of Sridevi's friends called her and revealed what the latter told her friend. Janhvi mentioned that her mom said that Janhvi has it in her, she has it in her to do really well. Janhvi shared that Sridevi also mentioned that she is very proud of her daughter. Talking about the same, Janhvi added:
"He spoke to her after she finished seeing my shoot and she said – she has it in her, she has it in her to do really, really well. I’m very proud. I never knew that she said that."
Earlier, a fan page of Janhvi Kapoor dropped a stunning video that included various photos from the actress’ film, Bawaal. The video also showed some other stills of Sridevi in her last film, English Vinglish. And it was the similarities between Sridevi and Janhvi that melted hearts. Janhvi, too, came across the same video, and she penned an emotional comment.

Earlier, during one of her promotional interviews for her then-released film, Mili, Janhvi was asked whether she would ever act in her mom, Sridevi's biopic. To this, the diva mention she doesn't want to do the same as she doesn't want to cry constantly on the sets.
