Janhvi Kapoor is currently one of the popular names in Indian showbiz. The daughter of eminent producer, Boney Kapoor and his legendary actress-wife, the late Sridevi, debuted in 2018 and has tried her best to impress the audience with her on-screen performances since then. At present, Janhvi is busy promoting her upcoming film, Mr and Mrs Mahi, co-starring Rajkummar Rao. In one of the interviews, the 27-year-old actress opened up about her boyfriend, Shikhar Pahariya.
Janhvi Kapoor appeared on Mirchi Plus’ show along with her co-star, Rajkummar Rao, and the duo spoke at length about their upcoming Sharan Sharma-directed film, Mr and Mrs Mahi. During the conversation, the host asked the duo to name two people from their lives, who have been their support system. Janhvi first said that her parents have encouraged and supported her a lot and then she named her boyfriend, Shikhar. She said:
“Apart from them, Shikhar because he’s been in my life since I was 15-16. I think my dreams have always been his dreams and his dreams have always been my dreams. We’ve been very close. We’ve been each other’s support system almost as if we’ve raised each other.”

Janhvi first let the world in on her relationship with Shikhar Pahariya during her appearance on Karan Johar’s popular talk show, Koffee With Karan, along with her sister, Khushi Kapoor. She accidentally slipped in Shikhar’s cute nickname ‘Shiku’ during their conversation. More recently, Janhvi proudly sported a ‘Shiku’ diamond-studded necklace at the premiere event of Maidaan on April 9, 2024. The actress has also been spotted with her boyfriend on multiple occasions including their visits to various religious places.

Moreover, Janhvi’s father, Boney Kapoor also confirmed his daughter’s relationship with Shikhar during an interview. He revealed that when his daughter was not seeing Shikhar, he was still in touch with him. Boney Kapoor also mentioned that Shikhar has been there for him, Janhvi and Arjun Kapoor, and is friendly to all. Speaking to Zoom, Boney revealed that he loves Shikhar and said:
“I love him (Shikhar) and in fact, in between a couple of years back Janhvi was not seeing him but I was still friendly to him. I was convinced he could never be an ex. He’ll be around. When any person is there for you in any capacity whether it’s for me, whether it’s for Janhvi, whether it’s for Arjun, he is friendly to all. So, I feel we’re blessed to have somebody like him in our set-up.”
Shikhar Pahariya is the grandson of the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Sushilkumar Shinde. Moreover, the young lad is a professional polo player and reportedly dated Janhvi Kapoor a few years ago, but they allegedly broke up for undisclosed reasons.
