Janhvi, in an interview with Pinkvilla, talked about PR and shared that whenever people praise her, people think it is a part of PR, and some have even accused her of paying people to praise her.

Janhvi added that she doesn't have the budget to pay people to praise her. However, people assume the worst of her and assume that every positive comment is a part of PR. In Janhvi's words:
“Main jab dekhti hu na social media par galti se koi bhi tareef kar leta hai na toh yeh bolte rehte hain ki ‘Yeh toh iska PR hoga'. Main bolti hoon ‘Nahi itna budget nahi hai ki main logon se tareef karwaun."
A few days back, Janhvi Kapoor sat down for an interview with Mashable, in which she was asked about her career choices. To which, Janhvi revealed that she consciously stayed away from big commercial films that would have elevated her success ratio. She wanted to grow as an artist which is why she did less commercial films. In Janhvi's words:
“Main bohot hi asaan journey chun sakti thi. Main iss film ki jagah ya mere pichle kuch filmon ki jagah, main badi commercial films kar sakti thi jahan glamour hota, bohot asaani se reach milta, popularity ho jaata, box office ka number guaranteed hota. Voh bohot asaan journey hai. Usme success rate almost guaranteed hai. Isme bohot risk hai."
