When Jasprit Bumrah's Wife, Sanjana Ganesan Kissed Her 'Splitsvilla 7' Co-Contestant, Ashwini Koul

Indian cricket team's one of the most influential and important players, Jasprit Bumrah, got married to popular sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan on March 15, 2021. The newly-wedded couple's wedding pictures are all over the internet. However, there are some pictures and videos that have also been circulating, like wildfire, all over social media since Sanjana's marriage to Bumrah. The much-circulating pictures are from MTV's popular dating-based reality show, Splitsvilla 7, in which Sanjana can be seen kissing her co-contestant and then-boyfriend, Ashwini Koul. Shocked?

Well, that is the reason why these pictures and videos are spreading like wildfire on the internet, as only a few people are aware of the fact that Bumrah's wife, Sanjana Ganesan, was once a contestant of Splitsvilla 7 and had fallen in love with her co-contestant, Ashwini Koul on the show. The season was hosted by the popular anchors Nikhil Chinapa and Sunny Leone. Also, Sanjana's rare interview in which she confirmed her relationship with Ashwini is making rounds on the internet, as people are getting nostalgic about going back in time.

In the year 2014, when MTV's popular dating reality show, Splitsvilla had kick-started the season after selecting some deserving contestants for the show from some of the country's major cities. One of the contestants was Sanjana Ganesan from Pune, who had won Femina Officially Gorgeous title before making her entry into the show. The young and dynamic Sanjana had made a surreal impact with her personality and performance in the tasks and was titled one of the strongest contestants of the show in its initial phases. Soon, she had fallen in love with co-contestant, Ashwini Koul and the two had painted the show red with their romantic camaraderie. However, during one of the tasks, Sanjana got injured and decided to quit the show. After this, her boyfriend, Ashwini, also chose to leave the show to follow in his ladylove's footsteps.

After coming out of the show, Sanjana Ganesan and Ashwini Koul had dated each other for some time and had made people believe in true love. During that time, in an interview with TellyChakkar, Ashwini had also talked about his relationship with Ashwini and stated that more than mushy lovers, they're best friends, which strengthens their relationship. He had said, "I don't really know what actually happened. We spoke, became friends, and got connected, and then things just worked in our favour. Yes, I am dating Sanjana, but rather than being mushy lovers, we are the best of friends." But after some time, the two had parted ways with each other, without revealing the reason behind their split.

While on one side, Ashwini Koul had worked in several shows like Warrior High, Sadda Haq, Boyz, and many more. His ex-girlfriend, Sanjana Ganesan, took the path of a sports presenter and was featured as a presenter on Shah Rukh Khan's IPL team, Kolkata Knight Riders' talk show, The Knight Club and since then, there's no looking back for her. According to multiple reports, while working as a sports presenter, Sanjana met Jasprit Bumrah during the 2013-14 season of IPL. The two had become friends and had come closer while shooting for the award show, Naman, that's from where they had started dating each other, and the rest is history. A small clip of Sanjana interviewing Bumrah during the Naman awards is also ruling everyone's hearts at the moment, as it speaks volumes about their brewing romance at that time.

The cricketer had posted dreamy wedding pictures with his wife, Sanjana Ganesan, on his Instagram handle. In the lovely wedding pictures, Jasprit had looked handsome in his pink pastel sherwani with a doshala and a matching turban. On the other hand, Sanjana had opted for a pink-hued lehenga with floral work on it. She had accessorised her look with a choker neckpiece, a mathapatti and a nath. Check it out:
