The Hindi trailer of Jawan premiered at 11:58 am, and the entire internet is talking about Shah Rukh Khan’s multiple looks in the film, Atlee’s direction and the spine-chilling introduction of Vijay Sethupati’s character. One of the film's dialogues, “Bete ko haath lagane se pehle, baap se baat kar leeta”, has already initiated brand new memes on the internet. The mention of Alia Bhatt has also left viewers in splits. The trailer of Jawan is off to a great start, and it will be interesting to see how Atlee Kumar’s film is going to perform at the box office.
Recently, during the pre-release event of Jawan, the film’s director, Atlee, Shah Rukh Khan, and Vijay Sethupati entertained the audiences at Sri Sairam Engineering College in Chennai. It was a delightful event for the students and people who interacted with Jawan’s cast and crew as they shared interesting anecdotes about their lives. However, the highlight of the pre-release event was when Vijay recalled having a crush on a girl but not approaching her because she was a fan of Shah Rukh.

The South Indian actor, Vijay Sethupati shared how he once fell in love with a girl when he was in school. However, the actor revealed that he never approached her because she was a fan of Shah Rukh Khan. Vijay hilariously said that he waited all these years to take revenge on SRK for being unable to approach his crush. He said:
"When I was in school, I was in love with a girl. But she didn’t know. Every Jaanu has a Ram after all (in reference to the names of the lead characters in his iconic film, ‘96). But that girl was in love with SRK. It has taken these many years to have my revenge."
Vijay Sethupati’s hilarious revelation left the audience in splits, and when Shah Rukh Khan was asked to respond to his confession, he gave a witty response. SRK responded to Vijay’s revelation by lauding their fellow members on the panel and their statements about him. Returning to Vijay’s confession, Shah Rukh tells him that he can have his revenge, but at the end of the day, the girls belong to him. Shah Rukh added that his fangirls are his only. He said:
"Everyone here spoke in Tamil and I am sure they all spoke good things about me. Except for Vijay Sethupati, who was talking about a girl. Let me tell you one thing sir, you can have your revenge but not my girls. They are mine."

At the same event, the Jawan’s director, Atlee also talked about being a Shah Rukh Khan fan. Recalling his fan moment, the filmmaker revealed that he was working with iconic filmmaker, Shankar on the film, Enthiran. His crew told him they would shoot outside Shah Rukh Khan’s house, Mannat. On the day of the shooting, Atlee posed in front of SRK’s residence and after a duration of 13 years, Shah Rukh opened the gates of Mannat for him. From being Shah Rukh’s fan to working with him, Atlee has come a long way. He shared:
'I will tell you a story. When I was working with director Shankar for Enthiran in Mumbai. I was told by my friend that we are shooting outside SRK’s house. He asked me to pose in front of the gate for a picture. After 13 years, the same gate opened and King Khan himself went, ‘Welcome Atlee sir’."
