Jaya Bachchan is one of the evergreen actresses of Indian cinema, who has never stopped mesmerising her audiences with her performances. However, over the years, she has also helmed headlines with her rude and upfront behaviour, especially when it comes to the paparazzi culture. The actress is frequently left unimpressed with the shutterbugs clicking her pictures. In fact, in many other aspects of her life, Jaya has startled audiences with her straightforward, unapologetic responses.
In the recent promo clip of the podcast, What The Hell Navya, the three ladies of the Bachchan clan, Jaya Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan and Navya Nanda discussed their approaches towards dealing with failures in their lives. While Shweta claimed that she becomes extremely harsh on herself after she stumbles over a defeat, it was her mommy, Jaya Bachchan, who countered her with a completely different take on failures. She mentioned:

Moving forward in the interaction, Shweta Bachchan talked about how people in our society tend to blame the women first, whenever a man fails in his life. She further asserted that it isn’t always correct to consider a woman to be always there behind a man, since both can stand together beside one another each other too. In her words:
“I think it’s because of that saying, behind every successful man is a woman. Why can’t she be standing by his side, she doesn’t have to be behind him?”
In a previous episode of her granddaughter’s podcast, What The Hell Navya, Jaya Bachchan opened up about her decision to stay away from social media. The veteran actress remarked that already the world knows a lot about her family. Thus, she finds no other reason to share anything more about her life through social media. She stated:
“There’s enough that the world knows about us. We don’t need to share on Instagram."
