Married to superstar, Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya is a loving mother to her two kids, Abhishek Bachchan and Shweta Bachchan. Currently, the veteran actress is a constant guest on her granddaughter, Navya Naveli Nanda's podcast, What The Hell Navya 2, along with Shweta.
Recently, Navya shared a promo of the upcoming episode of her podcast, What The Hell Navya 2, wherein she was seen discussing the pros and cons of social media with her mom, Shweta and grandmother, Jaya Bachchan. In the video, Navya addressed the two ladies as the wise people of the internet, leaving Jaya in splits. Meanwhile, Shweta expressed that she wished that she had the internet while growing up, as it would have made homework so much easier. To this, Jaya added:
“When I was young, we had to book a call, and there were two types of calls: one was ordinary, and the one was an emergency call. If you spoke to your boyfriend, it had to be an emergency call.”

Jaya Bachchan is a well-known face in Tinseltown, but she prefers to stay away from social media. She even has had several tiffs with the paparazzi. During the same episode, Jaya Bachchan also revealed the real reason behind her absence from social media and said:
“There’s enough that the world knows about us. We don’t need to share on Instagram."

In yet another episode of What The Hell Navya 2, Navya Naveli Nanda shared how negative posts often grab the most limelight. Reacting to the same, Jaya stated that people should try to comment on positive things instead of trolling and commenting negatively. Then Navya further pointed out how these trollers wouldn't dare to say anything to her face-to-face. Moreover, Jaya gave a sassy response to trolls and said:
"Himmat hogi bolne ki? Dum hai toh asli cheez pe comment karke dikhaiye, apni shakal dikhaiye."
In one of the videos doing rounds on the internet, the Bachchan clan was seen arriving at the Jamnagar airport together. As the paps asked them to pose together for a family picture, they all looked awkward. However, Jaya Bachchan walked away from the scene, and it looked like Big B wanted to have a picture with the other members. Jaya even waved and smiled at the paps stationed outside the venue, which was a rare sight.

Soon, the video was shared on Reddit, and many netizens flooded the post's comment section with their reactions. The social media users pointed out that Jaya Bachchan couldn't even pretend in front of the cameras and the Bachchan family looked dysfunctional. One user penned, "Kinda odd that Abhishek is walking ahead of his wife and daughter. The normalcy is to walk alongside or at least behind the ladies, isn't it?" Another penned, "I feel the family wanted to stop and pose, especially Aishwarya and Aaradhya, but the family looks so dysfunctional; Jaya not waiting and going. They couldn’t help but walk away."
