Recently, a Redditor took to the discussion platform, Reddit, and revealed that once Jaya Bachchan made a shocking remark about her father-in-law, Harivansh Rai Bachchan. The clip is from the famous poet and Amitabh Bachchan's father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan's 80th birthday celebration. The video featured Teji Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan, Harivansh Rai Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. The superstar, Amitabh, was seen discussing rhyming limericks about the age, and asked him what he would say about turning 80. To this, Harivansh Rai Bachchan said:
"Aasi mein lapsi."

A surprised Teji Bachchan asked him the meaning of lapsi, and Harivansh Rai Bachchan added that only UP people would understand it. At the end of the video, Jaya Bachchan jumped in and asked what they should say when he would turn 100, and she straight away made a mean remark stating that he would not be able to speak. She was quoted as saying:
"Ki jab Aap 100 ke hoge toh aap toh nai bol payege na.. Toh hum bolege na."
However, Teji Bachchan instantly replied, "Kyo, kyo nahi bolege, khub bolege." The post instantly went viral on the internet, and netizens expressed their thought on Jaya Bachchan's mean comment about her father-in-law, Harivansh Rai Bachchan. One user wrote, "Jaya at the end said what should we call when you turn 100, cos you will not be able to speak yourself ...yeh toh dark/dank ho gaya." Another used took the side of Jaya and requested people not to call her a 'bad mother'.
