Rumour mills are abuzz that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan might head for a divorce. As surprising as it may sound, but the duo's recent social media posts and public appearances have hinted at the same. While Aishwarya and Abhishek are reportedly parting ways, they have kept mum about the ongoing rumours. Moreover, their fans are concerned to know what went wrong between the duo.
Having spent about sixteen years of marital bliss with her hubby, Abhishek Bachchan has reportedly moved out of the Bachchan family home, Jalsa. Aishwarya shared a very fond relationship with her in-laws and became more like the daughter of the household after her wedding. It looked like Aishwarya is unconditionally loved and pampered by everyone in her sasural, but the reports about the rift in her relationship with Abhishek have raised many eyebrows.

Jaya Bachchan never really looked fond of her daughter-in-law, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. However, the Kal Ho Naa Ho actress once talked about her equation with Aishwarya and melted everyone's hearts with her endearing revelation. In an interview with Rediff, Jaya shared that she doesn't do politics behind Aishwarya's back and said:
“If I don’t like something about her, I tell her on her face. I don’t do politics behind her back. If she disagrees with me, she expresses herself."
However, Jaya Bachchan also revealed that she wants her daughter-in-law, Aishwarya, to be more respectful towards her. She added that though she can be a little more dramatic, she still wants Aishwarya to stay respectful. Jaya also shed light on how she and Aishwarya spend time at home and revealed that they talk rubbish. In her words:
"The only difference is that I can be a little more dramatic, and she has to be more respectful. I am old, you know. That’s all. We really enjoy sitting at home and talking rubbish. Just the two of us. She doesn’t have much time, but whatever she does, we enjoy. I have a great relationship with her.”
Meanwhile, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also proved how much she adored her in-laws. Once, in an interview abroad, Aishwarya flaunted her roots and talked about the blissful feeling of living in a joint family. In 2005, as Aishwarya appeared on Letterman’s show, she was asked if she lived with her parents and if it was normal for Indian adults to live with their mom and dad, even in their adulthood. To this, Aishwarya gave a heart-winning reply. The beautiful actress mentioned that it's fine to live with parents in India because it's also common for Indians not to make appointments to meet with their parents.
