Ravi Mohan aka Jayam Ravi has been leading the headlines with his personal life. It was a few days ago when Jayam Ravi announced his divorce, and later, his now ex-wife, Aarti claimed that the decision was made without her consent, and she and her kids felt completely blindsided by this announcement. It was also reported that a third person's involvement caused the split between Jayam Ravi and Aarti. Now, the actor reacted to the claims made by his ex-wife.
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Jayam Ravi was asked what led him to announce his separation with Aarti in public. To this, the actor revealed that the buzz had already taken up the media, and he was waiting for the responses of two legal notices from Aarti. The actor stated that the legal proceedings had begun, and he felt that it needed to be addressed.
In the same conversation, Jayam Ravi was asked about Aarti's claims that the decision was one-sided. Answering the same, Jayam added that it's not at all true, as both the families, along with the ex-couple, had an elaborative conversation about the actor's will to go separate ways from his wife. Jayam added that everyone was aware of his decision to part ways with Aarti, and she also had talked to the latter's father on this matter. Jayam Ravi mentioned:
"That’s absolutely not true. Both our families and she and I had a discussion about this together. Then they gave us space and she and I had a separate conversation and I told her clearly this is what I wanted. So, she was and her family were completely aware of this. After that, Aarti’s father and I had a conversation about this matter. How can they claim otherwise?"
Going forward in the interview, Jayam Ravi was asked about the reason that led him to decide to part ways with his wife, Aarti. Jayam mentioned that she wouldn't like to make any comment on this matter, but he started feeling way too much suffocating. He added that he walked out of the house with only a car, and he is a nomad now. The actor added that he is now juggling between Chennai and Mumbai and in and out of hotels. In Jayam's words:
"That’s absolutely not true. Both our families and she and I had a discussion about this together. Then they gave us space and she and I had a separate conversation and I told her clearly this is what I wanted. So, she was and her family were completely aware of this. After that, Aarti’s father and I had a conversation about this matter. How can they claim otherwise?"

When asked if he has talked to his kids about the divorce matter, Jayam Ravi said that his elder son is 14 years old, and thus he has a bit of an idea about the same, hence he had discussed the matter with him, while the little one is 8 years old, and too small to understand.
