Tamil star, Jayam Ravi in 2024 left his millions of fans in shock by announcing his separation from Aarti Ravi. The news instantly made headlines and it gained more traction as Aarti clearly stated that it was a one-sided announcement. After this, Jayam Ravi was blasted with reports of him dating singer and spiritual healer Kenishaa Francis. However, Ravi stood adamant about his decision and clearly stated that he would fight for the custody of his children.

Jayam Ravi's estranged wife, Aarti, is the eldest daughter of the famous producer, Sujatha Vijayakumar. She is famously known for her entrepreneurial work and being an influencer. She enjoys over 722K followers on Instagram. 

During the pandemic, Aarti used Instagram to promote small businesses. She promoted small businesses that went through a significant blow due to the lockdown. Aarti stood up for them and promoted their pages, especially the women-run business, on her social media handle.

Aarti is also the ambassador of Rise4Girl, which sponsors the education of girls who cannot afford it. Apart from her philanthropic work, Aarti is also known for her glamorous fashion picks. From traditional ensembles to wearing on-point casual, Aarti never fails to impress her fans with her fashionista style. 

Jayam Ravi met Aarti?

Aarti met Jayam in Scotland, and their love blossomed over there. However, it was Jayam who put all his heart, mind and soul into wooing his lady love and proposing her to marry him. Jayam Ravi and Aarti have been together for eighteen years. They fell in love in 2005 and tied the knot in June 2009. The couple is blessed with two kids.

In 2024, Jayam Ravi announced his separation through a social media post on Instagram. He revealed that aftera lot of discussion, he had taken the difficult steop to proceed with the dissolution of his marriage with Aarti. He added it wasn't a decision made in haste. His note read:

"After much thought and discussion, I have taken the difficult decision to proceed with the dissolution of my marriage with Aarti. This decision was not made out of haste and it stems from personal reasons that I believe are in the best interests of everyone involved."

After Jayam Ravi's public confirmation about their divorce, Aarti put the blame on him for announcing the separation without her knowledge and consent. Not only this, the rumours about Jayam finding love agian also made rounds. However, in a press conference, Jayam Ravi cleared the air around his estranged wife, Aarti's allegation and stated that her father had received the divorce notice and acknowldeged it. The issue was disucssed in the presence of both their parents.  

Jayam Ravi also highligthed that if his estranged wife, Aarti wanted to reconcile why she hadn't reached out to him or responded to the two legal notice he had sent her. He was quoted as saying:

"I want a divorce. If Aarti wanted to reconcile as she states, why has she not reached out to me? Why has she not responded to the two legal notices I sent? Does this behaviour look like she wanted to reconcile with me? Will there be news about a ‘girlfriend’ if the intention was to reconcile?"

Talking about his children's custody, Jayam Ravi revealed that he wanted the custody of his sons, Aarav and Aayan. For which, he is ready to fight out in the court even if it took him 10 years or 20 years. He added that his children are his future. He said:

"Yes, I want custody of my children – Aarav and Ayaan. I am ready to fight this divorce out in the court for 10 years or 20 years or however long it takes. My future is my children; they are my happiness."

Well, the real reason for Jayam Ravi and Aarti' separation is not yet known!
