However, it wasn't meant to last yet again, and now, after a year of filing documents, the couple's divorce has finally been finalised.
After nearly a year of filing documents in the Los Angeles Superior Court, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's divorce has finally been settled. The financial details of the couple's proceedings have not been publicly filed. However, as per reports, Jennifer will be holding on to her USD 5 million diamond engagement ring as part of her and Ben's divorce settlement.
Page Six obtained the court documents for Ben and JLo's finalised divorce settlement, which confirmed that the latter was to keep her 8.5-carat green diamond ring. An InTouch Weekly report noted that the singer-actress had been awarded quite a number of personal assets. These include everything from jewellery to clothing and more. Ben and Jennifer also shared two City National Bank accounts together, and she will keep 'half of the funds' from them as well.
Reports also confirm that Jennifer Lopez will be dropping Ben Affleck's surname from her legal name once their divorce is finalised. The court documents further elaborated on what the singer-actress will be entitled to and outlined the same as:
"All right, title and interest in and to any social security benefits and social security derivative rights to which [Jennifer] may be entitled to receive by reason of her past, present or future employment and/or her marriage."
Ben Affleck, on his part, will maintain possession of all his personal belongings. The court documents also laid out that he would keep "full ownership of his production company, Artists Equity, which he founded in 2022 with Matt Damon." Besides this, Ben and Jennifer have agreed to divide the profits from the sale of their shared USD 60 million Beverly Hills mansions equally, and neither of them will be paying spousal support.
