'Jethalal', a.k.a Dilip Joshi and 'Babita ji', essayed by Munmun Dutta's chemistry, is one of the top highlights of the hit sitcom, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. 'Jethalal' and 'Babita' have a different fan base altogether and the die-hard fans know that 'Jethalal' tries his level best to flirt with 'Babita ji', his true love outside his marriage. However, do you know that in reality the duo reportedly had a fallout? Things had turned so ugly that Dilip had gotten angry at Munmun. Let's take a trip down memory lane to find out what had exactly happened.
Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been entertaining its fans for a decade now. However, the stars have had off-screen drama on the sets. As per a report by ETimes, it was in 2017 when Dilip a.k.a 'Jethalal's' friends had visited the TMKOC sets. When they visited they wanted to click a picture with 'Babita ji'. Dilip, being a good host, had approached the actress with the request. Things took a weird turn when she refused to give a picture and gave the guests a cold shoulder. The behaviour did not gel well with Dilip. Reportedly, he confronted the actress and expressed his dissatisfaction over the same.
Dilip said that such behaviour could negatively impact her personality. He had reportedly also advised the actress to avoid showcasing attitude, especially when the requests were minor. The incident reportedly had become the talk of the set and tensions grew between both the stars. Neither Dilip nor Munmun had addressed the rift between the duo. Despite the reported differences, they have continued to play their roles with a lot of professionalism on the sets of the show.
'Jethalal' and 'Babita' have an unmatched chemistry on the sets of the show. Despite their personal differences, it never came down to their professional sphere. Dilip and Munmun's chemistry looks so real in the comedy serial that their fans think that they have the same bond even in their real life. When the 36-year-old actress was spotted with her mom by the paps at a public place, the paps told her to not forget to invite Jethalal to her birthday. She replied saying:
"Arey bhai. Abhi toh rehne deh bhai."
The senior actor, earlier in an interview with India Today had said that he always ensured that his and Babita's equation never looked vulguar on the screen. Dilip said that when they had started the show and the banter was created between 'Babita ji' and his character, Jethalal. Going further Dilip added:

"I was very clear that my relationship with her on the show should not go beyond limit. There’s a very thin line agar thoda sa bhi upar Yaa yahan wahan hogaya toh it will look vulgar. It should have piousness. Jaise harr joh purush hota hai usse khubsurat aurat achi lagti hai. It is not more than that and he doesn’t have any malice in his heart."
