Jimmy Shergil is 'forever' remembered as the cute young boy in the film, Mohabbatein, starring Shah Rukh Khan. While he was re-launched with six other newcomers (as his first film, Machi, he marked an important place in the hearts of many with his role. Recently, Jimmy recalled how the success of Mohabbatein made him super busy and how he wasn't able to attend his own wedding festivities.
Recently, in an interview with Cyrus Broacha for his YouTube channel, Jimmy recalled the two years after the success of his film, Mohabbatein. The actor revealed that he got offers of romantic films post the release of the film for two years. Jimmy further added that he wasn't even able to enjoy his own wedding and arrived as a guest.

Jimmy further added that he attended only the main functions of his marriage, and wasn't able to be with his family for 10-15 days. He was quoted as saying:
"I was doing that kind of roles – all romantic, singing and dance. In the middle, I had been a guest at my own wedding also because I couldn’t take out time. Like North Indian weddings they keep the functions for 10-15 days. I couldn’t make it for those many days, I was there only for 2-3 days because I was shooting for the film Yeh Zindagi Ka Safar. I only went for the main functions of my marriage. That’s how things were 2-3 years after Mohabbatein."
Jimmy Shergill is loved for the roles he had portrayed on the silver screen. He is also hailed as a big superstar in the Punjabi film industry. In the midst of it, his family always supported him, but there was a time when his relationship almost ended with his family. Recalling the same, Jimmy revealed that he stopped wearing turban at the age of eighteen as it was extremely difficult for him.

However, his decision of cutting his hair short, left his parents and other family members had broken all ties with him. He was quoted as saying:
"I wore a turban till I was about 18, till it became really difficult for me to manage washing and wearing one in a hostel. Of course, it was many other things too but I asked my dad casually on one of his trips to my hostel and decided to cut my hair one day. Not just my parents, but my entire family did not talk to me for a year-and-a-half properly after that except for my one mama who had also cut his hair before me."
For the unversed, Jimmy Shergill tied the knot with Priyanka Puri in 2001.
