In a candid interview with Pinkvilla, Bigg Boss OTT 2 contestant, Jiya Shankar opened up about her personal and professional life. When the actress was asked about her love life, she revealed that it has not been great. Talking about the same, Jiya mentioned that the people of this generation are confused and added:
"My love life has not been that great. This generation is a little F****d up. People are confused, I don't know or those are the kind of people I'm meeting, what it is, I have no idea but a lot of women or men can relate with me that this generation is F****d up."

For the unversed, Jiya Shankar was reportedly head over heels in love with her Kaatelal & Sons co-star, Paras Arora. If reports are to be believed, the duo dated each other for some time and rumours about their alleged PDA was the hot topic of discussion among gossipmongers. However, Jiya Shankar and Paras Arora never confirmed being in a relationship with each other, despite reports hinting at their alleged romance.
In the same interview, Jiya Shankar talked about an embarrassing incident in her life and shared that she was molested by her family doctor when she was a kid. Recalling the horrifying details, the actress revealed how the person took advantage of her after he came to know about her parents' separation. Elaborating on the incident, she said:
"I was harassed or molested by my family doctor. I was in class 10 and had my board exams when I fell sick. It was post my parents' separation, so I went to the doctor alone. I was a kid. How would I know that he would take advantage of me knowing that my mom and dad are not living together anymore? So, when he asked me why my dad was not there, I told him the truth."

Jiya Shankar shared that it was the most disturbing thing in her life and recalled the mental torture she faced after being molested. The actress further shared what happened when she went to the police station to file a complaint and revealed that she was repeatedly asked about the details of the incident. Recalling her experience, Jiya shared:
"I was asked all these embarrassing details, and for me, it was too much. And to go through that over and over again. But you have to go through a few things to fight with the devil."
