Jugal Hansraj is a name that needs no introduction as he was every girl’s crush in the 90s. With a guitar in his hands, while crooning to the song, ghar se nikate hi, kuch dur chalte hi, the actor had captivated millions of hearts. And when the handsome green-eyed actor had starred in Yash Chopra’s film, Mohabbatein, we couldn’t take our eyes off him. Such was Jugal Hansraj’s charm that he made millions of fans with his small stint in Bollywood.
Talking about Jugal Hansraj’s career, he had begun acting as a child actor in the 1983 film, Masoom. Later, he had made his acting debut in Bollywood as a lead actor in the film, Aa Gale Lag Jaa. After which, Jugal had starred in movies like Papa Kehte Hain, Mohabbatein, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Salaam Namaste, Aaja Nachle etc. In 2008, Jugal had written and had directed the animated film, Roadside Romeo, which had won the National Film Award for Best Animated Film.

Jugal Hansraj shifted his base to the US a few years back with his wife, Jasmin and their son, but the actor is still seen in some projects. On June 30, 2022, Jugal took a trip down memory lane and shared an unseen rehearsal video from the sets of the film, Mohabbatein. In the video, we can see Jugal Hansraj, Uday Chopra, Preeti Jhangiani, and a few others indulged in an acting workshop. The video made netizens nostalgic, and they showered their love for the movie and also requested Jugal to come back to Bollywood.

Talking about Jugal’s personal life, the actor had got married to an NRI investment banker, Jasmine Dhillon, in 2014 in an intimate wedding ceremony. The couple had dated each other for some time before tying the marital knot. Jasmine was an investment banker in New York, and according to reports, she had met Jugal through some common friends. The couple is proud parents of a baby boy, whom they have named, Sidak.

Since Jugal has made us all nostalgic, let's take a look at some unknown facts about the film, Mohabbatein. Did you know that Shamita Shetty and Kim Sharma’s roles in the film were earlier offered to Karisma Kapoor and Kajol? Since they rejected the role, it went to Shamita and Kim, who had made their Bollywood debut with this film.
Similarly, director, Aditya Chopra had written a role for Sridevi to play Amitabh Bachchan’s love interest. But when Sridevi had rejected the role, Aditya had approached Madhuri Dixit and later, the makers had decided to remove the character from the film. Another unknown fact is that Shah Rukh Khan, who had played the protagonist, had signed the film without even looking at the script and the name of his character was inspired by the name of his elder son, Aryan.
