Juhi Chawla is one of the most-loved actresses of the '90s. From Yes Boss to Darr, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, and many more, she was the curly-haired beauty that instantly made a huge place in the hearts of her millions of fans. When Juhi Chawla decided to marry a person out of the film fraternity, everyone was left shocked. There was a time when Juhi was considered the bubbly girl everyone loved, but for the past few months, new anecdotes about her have been making rounds. Recently, a report about her calling Manoj Bajpayee' poor' made rounds on the internet.
According to a report by Firstpost, Juhi Chawla and Manoj Bajpayee were finalised for the film, Chalk N Duster, but the actress refused to have him on board in the role of a quizmaster (which was later played by Rishi Kapoor). The report was first published by SpotBoyE, wherein a source told the publication that Juhi didn't want Manoj Bajpayee as he looked 'too poor to be playing the role of a quizmaster'. The source was quoted as saying:
"Juhi said he looks too poor to be playing the role of a quizmaster. She felt that they should get a sophisticated actor for the part."

However, when Zoom contacted the film's director, Jayant Gilatar denied the news. He supported Juhi and said she never really threw tantrums on the sets. However, the news was shared on the discussion platform, Reddit, and they highly disapproved of the way Juhi reacted. The netizens were quick to express their opinion, and some even compared Juhi Chawla's comment to Parineeti Chopra's remark on Sushant Singh Rajput.
One user also recalled how Juhi said things about Shah Rukh and commented, "Didn't Juhi also say things about SRK, such as, 'patla sa, dubla sa, brown colour ka. kis angle se Aamir Khan lagta hai batao mujhe? Ye toh mere saath dhokha ho gaya.' when he was cast opposite her in Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman."

Recently, in an interview with Lehren Retro, the director, Dharmesh Darshan, shared an anecdote with Juhi Chawla. He revealed that she was the first choice for Raja Hindustan, but she played hard to get. When he told her about the film, she said that it was just a normal film. The director cited the example of the then-released superhit film, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, in which Madhuri Dixit's character stood out. To this, Juhi instantly said:
"But you’re not Sooraj Barjatya."
Dharmesh revealed that this remark pinched him and he told Juhi straightaway, 'And you're not Madhuri Dixit'. After this, Juhi backed out from the film; the director further added that a day later she apologised to him.
For the unversed, Juhi Chawla and Manoj had starred together in the film, Swami in 2007.
