Julia Fox has been receiving high-end criticism for her costume choice. The model-actress attended The Cursed Amulet’s Halloween party on October 30, 2025, in New York City, wearing a pink-toned suit covered in fake blood stains. Julia's pink wool suit and pillbox hat were a nod to the First Lady, Jackie Kennedy's look on November 22, 1963. Jackie Kennedy wore a similar outfit on the day her husband, President John F. Kennedy, was assassinated. As Julia's appearance resembled Jackie Kennedy's outfit from that horrific day of 1963, the model-actress has found herself at the centre of limitless trolling. Now, as she is facing backlash, the reason behind her wearing the costume has been revealed.
Taking to her IG handle, amid limitless backlash, Julia Fox defended her outfit choice. She shared in her post that the suit was not only a costume but also a statement. She also wrote about how Jackie Kennedy refused to change the pink suit after her husband was assassinated, and the splash of blood stains on her pink suit isn't meant for a costume but remains as a juxtaposition in modern history. She shared:
"I’m dressed as Jackie Kennedy in the pink suit. Not as a costume, but as a statement. When her husband was assassinated, she refused to change out of her blood-stained clothes, saying, ‘I want them to see what they’ve done.’ The image of the delicate pink suit splattered with blood is one of the most haunting juxtapositions in modern history. Beauty and horror. Poise and devastation."

Julia Fox went on to add how it's all together beauty and horror, while stating that Jackie Kennedy refusing to change her pink suit was a form of bravery mixed with mourning, protest and performance. Stating said how trauma, power, and femininity is a form of resistance, Julia Fox wrote:
"Her decision not to change clothes, even after being encouraged to, was an act of extraordinary bravery. It was performance, protest, and mourning all at once. A woman weaponising image and grace to expose brutality. It’s about trauma, power, and how femininity itself is a form of resistance. Long live Jackie O."

No sooner had Julia Fox's looks gone viral on social media than people remained shocked and called her out. To some of the netizens, the outfit choice was 'offensive and disrespectful'. One user said, "For her, it was an extraordinary act of bravery. For you, it’s just attention seeking and horribly disrespectful. Do better." Another user penned, "Apparent actress Julia Fox dresses as Jackie Kennedy moments after JFK’s assassination. What the hell is wrong with people?" JFK's grandson, Jack Schlossberg, also expressed his disappointment over Julia wearing what she wore, saying:
"Julia Fox glorifying political violence is disgusting, desperate and dangerous. I’m sure her late grandmother would agree."

Julia Fox is a multi-hyphenated star whose breakthrough came with her role in Uncut Gems back in 2019. Following this, she appeared in the period crime drama No Sudden Move. She is also an author, whose memoir Down The Drain was a part of that year’s big fall book slate, as reviewed by many major outlets.
