Julia Fox's brief fling with Canadian rapper, Drake

Julia Fox reportedly had a brief fling with Canadian rapper and singer, Drake in early 2020, soon after her ex-husband, Peter Artemiev, filed for divorce. On her podcast Forbidden Fruits, Julia described their relationship as 'just hanging out,' but she later hinted that it might have been more. She was quoted as saying:

"Like, I wouldn’t say that we were dating. Drake is a great guy and a gentleman, and that was it. Nothing really happened. We were just, like, friends hanging out."

Later, during a 2023 interview on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Julia shared more insights on her brief romance with Drake. When a fan asked Julia about her best celebrity date, the latter shared that she once flew on a private jet, cuddled during the flight, and received Chanel bags after the landing. When host Andy Cohen asked if the celebrity was Drake, Fox coyly replied, "Maybe." 

For the unversed, Drake was born on October 24, 1986, in Canada and first gained popularity as an actor on the teen drama, Degrassi: The Next Generation. Later, he had built a huge, successful career in music. Drake released hit albums like Thank Me Later, Take Care, Scorpion, and Certified Lover Boy. Many of his songs, like God’s Plan, Hotline Bling, and One Dance, topped the global charts. 

Julia Fox's short-lived romance with American rapper, Kanye West

One of the Uncut Gems star's most talked-about relationships was with American rapper Kanye West. For the uninitiated, Kanye was married to American media personality and socialite, Kim Kardashian, but they divorced in 2022. Julia and Kanye were first spotted together on January 1, 2022, during a dinner at New York City’s Carbone restaurant. During that time, a source told US Weekly that the duo is having fun and is on a casual date. In fact, the source mentioned that Kanye wanted to get to know her as they reached out via mutual friends. 

On January 6, 2022, Julia wrote an article for Interview Magazine describing their exciting night together. She shared that Kanye’s energy was fun and uplifting. She mentioned that the American rapper surprised her with a hotel suite full of new clothes, which she referred to as a 'Cinderella moment.' In her words:

"His energy is so fun to be around. He had my friends and me laughing, dancing, and smiling all night. I’m still in shock. Ye had an entire hotel suite full of clothes. It was every girl’s dream come true. It felt like a real Cinderella moment. I don’t know how he did it, or how he got all of it there in time. But I was so surprised. Like, who does things like this on a second date? Or any date!"

However, the couple broke up in February 2022. Confirming the news, Julia’s representative said, "Julia and Kanye remain good friends and collaborators, but they are no longer together." Later that year, the Uncut Gems star told ES Magazine that she ended the relationship with Kanye because the rapper had too many personal issues, and she didn’t have the time or emotional energy to deal with them. 

In a 2022 interview with the UK’s Sunday Times, Julia regretted her relationship with Kanye. In her 2023 memoir, Down the Drain, Julia revealed that Kanye once offered to pay for her to get a breast enhancement and tried to control her fashion choices. She also claimed that he leaked their photos from dates to the media.

Julia Fox's whirlwind marriage to Peter Artemiev

After dating for one month, Julia Fox tied the knot to pilot, Peter Artemiev in Las Vegas. The couple had been married for two years. In January 2022, on her Forbidden Fruits podcast, Julia recalled that it was love at first sight when they crossed paths before Uncut Gems. However, initially, Peter was in a relationship, and later, after his breakup, the duo reconnected. They got married on New Year’s Day at the Little White Wedding Chapel, dressed like a cowgirl and a cowboy. 

However, their seemingly fairytale-like marriage hit a rough patch, and it was Peter who filed for divorce in February 2020. Despite their separation, they welcomed their first child together, a son, Valentino, on January 17, 2021. In December 2021, Julia publicly accused Peter of their estranged co-parenting relationship. Later in a 2022 interview with The Cut, she apologised to her ex-husband and explained the situation back then in 2021. She also mentioned that her son’s father loves him more than anything in this world. In her words:

"My son’s father and I had our issues, and I wanted to scare him into being a better dad, but I went about it the wrong way. My son’s dad loves his son more than anything in the world. He just has some issues that I shouldn’t have made public."
