Junaid Khan Breaks Silence On Getting Backlash For Carrying A Bag, 'Where Do You Keep Things?'

Junaid Khan is the elder son of Bollywood superstar, Aamir Khan. He is presently going all out to promote his upcoming film, Loveyapa, and amid this, he has made headlines for multiple reasons. Junaid's calm attitude and honest interviews have impressed fans, but he has become a target of influence for a rather unusual reason. For those unaware, Junaid is frequently seen carrying around a shoulder bag during his promotional spree, which has caused a discussion online. Finally, Junaid Khan shared his reaction to it, receiving applause from the netizens.

Junaid Khan opens up about receiving criticism for carrying a bag 

Junaid Khan recently sat down for an interview with Mirchi Plus with his Loveyapa co-star, Khushi Kapoor. In the interview, he was asked what he thinks about getting backlash from netizens and fashion influencers like Diet Sabya, who questioned why he carries a bag everywhere, creating wrong fashion statements. In response, Junaid simply asked where he should keep his things if they if not in a bag with him. In his words: 

“Nahi actually Khushi ne mujhe bataya ‘Your bag is the rage of the internet’. I was like, 'why'? Where do you keep things then?"

His reply left the interviewer and Khushi in splits. Junaid explained that since he is promoting his film from one place to another, he needs a place to store his essentials. When asked what he carries in his viral bag, the Maharaj actor calmly replied that he carries some basic and practical items like his wallet, keys, phone, and even face wash since they are out all day. But he couldn't understand why it was unusual. The interviewer explained that other stars have an entourage who help them carry their things, but Junaid quickly mentioned he doesn't have an entourage and is not looking for one now. 

Netizens support Junaid Khan's statement 

Junaid Khan has been a topic of discussion online, and some of his statements have brought him criticism. However, his response about carrying a bag was found relatable by social media users who came forward and supported his statement. One user said, "Exactly, where do they keep things then." Another netizen penned, "They won't let him be the way he is. Eventually, he will change, and then the same people will criticise again."

Junaid Khan admits he got some 'privileges' being a star kid 

In another interview with Humans Of Bombay, Junaid was asked about his perspective towards nepotism since he and his co-star, Khushi Kapoor, come from prominent filmy families. In his reply, rather than shying away from it, Junaid admitted that he is 'privileged' because he is the first-born son of a wealthy and admired person. He explained that this fascination existed around him, and Junaid understood that producers cast him because of his family background to grab his attention in the film.
