Junaid Khan Says 'I'd Rather Sit With Boney Uncle' Than Father, Aamir Khan, 'Ghar Ki Murgi Dal...'

Junaid Khan, son of actor Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta, has been making headlines for his honest revelations in his interviews. Rather than avoiding answering tricky questions, he has impressed everyone with his interviews and is busy promoting his upcoming film, Loveyapa. During one such recent interview, Junaid made an interesting revelation on why he prefers to go out to discuss cinema with someone other than his father, Aamir Khan, also known as Mr Perfectionist in Bollywood. 

Junaid Khan says he can speak for hours with film producer, Boney Kapoor 

Junaid Khan has always expressed that he is passionate about acting. Despite taking training from Los Angeles, he still tries to learn more from others around him in the Hindi film industry, like his co-star Khushi Kapoor's father and film producer, Boney Kapoor. As per Indian Express, Junaid opened up about their equation and mentioned that the filmmaker has more than 50 years of experience in the industry. So, he can talk for hours with Boney Kapoor, listening to interesting stories from his experiences. In his words: 

"I love hanging out with him. I can speak for hours together with him. He has the best stories, and he has seen so much in cinema. Almost 50 years worth of experience."

In the same conversation, the interviewer mentioned that his father and actor, Aamir Khan, also has plenty of experience, given his three decade-long career in the industry, where he has been at the top of the game. In turn, Junaid agreed that his father had a good amount of wisdom but gave a humorous edge to his answer and left everyone in splits. He said: 

"I'd rather sit with Boney uncle, Of course, he is like an encyclopedia. He knows so many things about a wide range of subjects, for sure. But as they say… ghar ki murgi dal barabar.”

Aamir Khan revealed his kids don't listen to him and brush off his advice

In 2024, Aamir Khan appeared on the popular show, The Great Indian Kapil Show. During his time on the show, the Dangal actor shared several unknown insights from his personal life with comedian-host, Kapil Sharma. Among other things, Aamir revealed that his kids don't listen to him, unlike people from his generation. He mentioned that other actors like Jackie Shroff sent his son, Tiger Shroff, to take guidance from him on films and showbiz. However, when he goes to advise his kids, they respond unexpectedly. Aamir noted: 

"They never take my advice. And when I give advice, they go, 'Papa!' 'Ghar ki murgi dal barabar'. It's a perfect saying."

Junaid Khan's work front 

Junaid Khan debuted in Bollywood in 2024 with the Netflix film, Maharaj co-starring with Jaideep Ahlawat, Shalini Pandey and Sharvari. He received widespread appreciation for his performance. The actor is now preparing for his theatrical debut with Loveyapa, co-starring Khushi Kapoor, on February 7, 2024. He also has a film with Sai Pallavi in the pipeline.
