Jung Joo Yeon, in 2009, debuted in Hallyu with her music video, Wannabe. She quickly became a youth sensation owing to her fresh looks and unique features. Only a little later, Jung Joo Yeon started getting offers for dramas and films and subsequently became a part of many. She featured in popular dramas like Stormy Lovers, Princess Aurora City Of The Sun and more. She was also a part of films like Kim Woo Bin's Twenty, China Blue and Stormy Lovers, among others.
Besides a prosperous professional career, Jung Joo Yeon has an equally wholesome love life. However, now her life seems to have gone for a toss as not even six months into matrimony, the actress has decided to split with her husband.

On March 2023, Jung Joo Yeon tied the knot with her non-celebrity (then) boyfriend in an intimate lavish ceremony. The couple was seen to be much in love. However, not every relationship is meant to last. Jung Joo Yeon, via her agency, confirmed her divorce from her husband only six months into the wedding.
Jung Joo Yeon's agency, Never Die, on November 4 2023, took to their official website and issued a public statement saying that Jung Joo Yeon and her husband have amicably decided to part ways. The reason for the split is not mentioned. The statement came in after several reports hinted towards the divorce. Never Die further added:
"It's true that last month, Jung Joo Yeon and her husband mutually agreed to end their marriage."

Though the couple have decided to part ways, there will be no legal divorce for them. As per South Korean law, the couple had not yet legally registered their marriage and were only in a social commitment. So, they will not have any legal divorce.
